Happy belated International Women’s Day
Belated post for international women’s day as we were busy living it up at Gymshark Lifting Club on Friday 🦈🙌🏻 (still can’t wrap my head around the day)
It was amazing to see everyone supporting each other especially women supporting women 🫶🏻💪🏻
Massive thank you to all the women in my life who support me and show me how to be strong - I wouldn’t be here without you ❤️

Hello 👋🏻
I’ve had some new followers recently and changes gyms so I thought I’d reintroduce myself
I’m Poppy, the face behind PGR Fitness 🫶🏻
I’m a level 3 qualified personal trainer who is here to help you achieve your goals no matter what they are!
I am now based 🙌🏻
A few things about me:
- I am a massive wolves fan 🐺 and go to every home game - yes I will rearrange my life around a game because I will get massive fomo if not 🙃
- I love dogs 🐶 they are just the best animals I don’t understand how people live without them - they are the best ❤️
- I’m that annoying person who can sleep anywhere at anytime and still sleep all night 💤
- I am a summer girl- I hate winter with a passion, the dark, cold, wet, miserable, long days are just not for me. I prefer being out in the sun ☀️
- I’m the most indecisive person ever - favourite food? Haven’t got a clue! What do I want to eat? Don’t know! Pick somewhere to go? Absolutely not happening without a 3 hour debate 😂
So that’s a little bit about me 🙋🏼♀️ does anything surprise you?

It’s still the new year but are you still the new you? 👀
Many of us set New Year’s resolutions on the 1st Jan to bring us into 2024 as the best possible versions of ourselves,
But did you know (apparently) only about 9% of people are able to keep to their New Year’s resolutions?!
And since we are now 10 days into 2024 I want to give you 6 tips to ensure you are one of them!
🎯Set realistic targets
📝 Track your progress
📈 Realise that success is NOT linear
🙋🏼♀️ Don’t be afraid to ask for help
🏅 Reward yourself for even the smallest wins
💪🏻 Invest in a coach to help educate you and keep you on track

Week 1/52 complete ✅
We’re officially 1 week down of 2024
How has this first week gone?
It’s okay if it’s not gone as planned
Equally
Celebrate if you’ve had a good week
Have you put your plans into action? Are you still waiting to start? Do you need some accountability?
My biggest win of the week was training 6 days (that’s not happened in the longest time 🥲) and I feel so good for moving but I’m also not putting any pressure on myself to maintain a 6 day training plan because I know that’s not sustainable for me

The first workout of 2024 ✅
I’m not a massive new year new me person as it usually doesn’t last too long - instead I’d rather take each day as it comes and try to do a little better than the day before but this doesn’t always happen
Why?
Because that’s life! Things happen. They get in the way. They throw us off our routines and as humans we like to have a routine!
So how do we deal with this?
There’s no correct way to “deal” with it and often you have zero control but what you do have control over is how YOU react to the situation
A common one for January is going off your diet. You eat that piece of chocolate and then think well I may as well have another and so on … and before you know it the diet starts again on Monday
Does this sound like you?
Well you can have that piece of chocolate and still stay on track 🤯 you don’t have to throw it into the f*ck it bucket 🪣
You can still make progress without sacrificing the chocolate (insert your favourite food here)
It’s about how you react when things don’t go to plan that matters!
It’s about how much you show up for you each day
So let’s make 2024 YOUR best year yet!
