A huge good luck to all of our swimmers collecting their GCSE results today! 🍀

We know how much hard work, dedication and determination you've put in – balancing school alongside hours of training in the pool is no easy achievement. Whatever your results today, remember they don't define you. Be proud of everything you've accomplished.

We'd also like to say a massive congratulations to everyone who received their A-Level results last week. We hope you're celebrating your successes and are excited for whatever comes next, whether that's university, an apprenticeship, work or a new adventure.

We're incredibly proud of every one of you!

🏊‍♀️💚 WE’RE BACK IN THE POOL! 💚🏊‍♂️

Swim training is officially back underway this evening following our two-week summer break! 💦🙌

It’s great to have our swimmers back in the water and getting those lengths in again! 💪

📅 For the next two weeks, training will run on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday only, at the usual session times.

From 1st September, we’ll return to our normal schedule of five sessions per week.

🏆 With Club Championships just around the corner, the next few weeks of training are really important. We’d love to see as many swimmers as possible attending sessions and getting themselves race-ready!

🚨 Reminder – No Training Tonight 🚨

Just a reminder that there is no swimming training tonight.

Following conversations with parents, we expected attendance to be very low due to this evening's England match ⚽, so the decision was made to cancel tonight's session.

We hope everyone enjoys the game, and we look forward to welcoming all of our swimmers back at the pool for the next scheduled training session.

🏆 Wellington ASC Club Championships 2026 – Entry Reminder! 🏊💚

A reminder that entries for this year's Wellington ASC Club Championships are now open!

📅 Entry deadline: Please get entries in this week
⏰ Please note: Late entries cannot be accepted under any circumstances.

The Championships will take place across:
📍 WV Active, Wolverhampton – Saturday 19th & Sunday 20th September
📍 Wrekin College – Sunday 13th September and evening sessions during the week commencing 21st September.

✅ Entries must be submitted through Swim Club Manager.

💷 Entry fee: £4 per event, with a maximum charge of £40 per swimmer, regardless of the number of events entered (up to 18 events).

📄 Please make sure you have read the Programme of Events and Rules of Entry, paying particular attention to the Eligibility Rules and Medals sections before submitting your entries. *Email sent out on 23 June*

Just a reminder that all Wellington Swimming Club sessions are running as normal today.

✅ Teaching Squad – 5:00pm–6:30pm
✅ Senior Squad – 6:30pm–8:00pm

We hope everyone has had a fantastic weekend, and we look forward to seeing all of our swimmers back in the pool tonight, ready for another great week of training! 💪🌊

Further update from Shropshire ASA:

We have been made aware today that Wolverhampton council will be charging £4.00 per day to park in the car park from now on, events used to be free.

If you are an official or a volunteer and you have sent your car reg's before 5pm then parking will be free, those that emailed after this time will need to pay but can be reimbursed through expenses.

Please note information on map re time limits is from a local but not verified by us, please read the signs.

Red areas are where we are asking you to leave spaces.

The enclosed green area will cost you £4 per day to park in.

The purple area has a 12 hour limit on it

The yellow area has a 4hr limit on it.

Could we request that all parents avoid using the top corner of the car park @ Wolverhampton this weekend please.

We like to reserve these spaces for the organisers as we have very very full cars of equipment that we have to unload and reload each day.

Could this message be passed on to all our first timers please.

A huge congratulations to all of our Wellington swimmers who proudly represented Telford at the Shropshire Primary Schools Swimming Gala tonight... and came away as CHAMPIONS! 🥇🎉

What a fantastic achievement! Your hard work, dedication and team spirit were on full display, and we're incredibly proud of you!!

Well done to every swimmer who competed – you represented both your schools and Wellington Swimming Club brilliantly. 💚🖤

A big thank you also goes to the teachers, coaches, officials and parents who helped make the evening possible and supported our swimmers every step of the way.

A reminder that tonight's Senior Squad session has been cancelled due to the Shropshire Primary Schools Gala taking place at Wellington during our usual training time.

Sunday 28th June – Training Update

Due to the Shropshire Summer Meet taking place this weekend, we will be combining our Senior Squad and Teaching Squad sessions on Sunday.

🕔 All swimmers will train from 5:00pm–6:30pm.

Unfortunately, due to staffing issues at Wrekin Pool, both the Teaching and Squad sessions on Sunday have been cancelled.

To help make up for this, we have secured pool time today with a dedicated one-hour session for each group:

🏊 Teaching: 2:00pm – 3:00pm

🏊 Squad: 3:00pm – 4:00pm
