Saturday’s game is the final one for season 2022/23. We welcome St Martins Fc. The game will be a celebration of the playing group many of whom have played together for over 20 years.
Through the final seasons of youth football, Minor league, U21 seasons and multiple seasons in Shropshire Football Association adult leagues.

We welcome supporters and anyone who has played a part in the journey.

Always good to receive acknowledgment that we continue to do the right things as a club.

Looking forward to Monday? I sure am. Please to say that Ability counts sessions start again on the 24th. Will be great to see all of you again ⚽️⚽️

As Noel has said in his post there are restrictions which we must comply with

- please arrive no more than 10 minutes before we are due to start and leave promptly on completion of the session.
- parents and careers must comply with Covid restrictions (masks worn unless medically exempt, hand sanitise, social distancing) and remain behind the barrier. No more than 1 parent or career should attend for the moment
- we will complete an attendance register. In addition we will ask that parents/careers complete a new club registration form.
- please do not enter the main building, other than to use the toilets if required (please wear a mask whilst going through the building)

Following these rules ensures we can offer sessions again. TCAT are restricting access to the facility until the summer term ends. I hope the restrictions will be relaxed in due course.

Costs remain at £3, which covers facility hire, FA registration and insurance, and equipment. As always the coaches are volunteers and give their time for free.

I will have hand sanitiser and a few spare face masks if required.

I will have a full copy of the rules provided from TCAT should anyone wish to read them in full.

Lots to take in, but we are looking forward to the return.

Out there in the lashing rain on a cold night is a real footballing hero, they won't be paid and are rarely thanked, they won't be acknowledged by the Media or the Premier League and won't win any awards. They do this in their spare time so my child and your child can play, they miss tea most nights to get to training and spend Sunday’s organising games. On behalf of all parents everywhere I would like to thank all coaches for what you men and women do.

As I sit comfortably in my warm car listening to the radio, 100 yards away there is a lone coach standing in the middle of the field along with 10 kids kicking around a ball in the cold, wind and rain.

Sounds crazy...looks even crazier, but this person is my sons coach and he is out there voluntarily getting drowned in the rain so my son can develop his skills and play with his friends.

He's not getting paid, he's not asking for any praise, he’s fighting against a lifetime of lack of funding, council cuts, poor facilities and a worldwide pandemic, extra risk assessments, more paperwork, and he doesn't owe any of us any favours.

As far as I'm concerned he's a saint and whatever he wants/says goes if he's prepared to give up his free evenings to run around in the rain with my child.

I’ve seen coach worry about what people think of him for game time, training schedules, kit colour, positions of players

This is a true hero, this is real grassroots football, this is pure football and I say without hesitation, thank you coach.
