Allscott Heath Archers (formerly Telford Archers) are based in Telford Shropshire we were founded in 1976. The club ground is on the site of Allscott Heath Sports club, we offer Target archery facilities for all bow types and can cater for disabled archers as well. Our members range from 9 to 70+ in age and from novice to County to Junior GB team level.

We are a medium-sized club whose members actively shoot several times a week, most of our members prefer the recurve bow but there are also a number that use compound bows. We recently developed a new practice / beginner’s area of up to 30 meters and for the more adventurous we have a long shoot area of up to 150 meters. The club is able to offer year-round shooting as we have the use of an indoor area. Club shoots are Monday and Thursday (18.00 to 20.00) and Sundays (14.00 to 18.00) between March and September, winter shoots are October to March on Thursdays (17.30 to 19.00) and Sundays (15.00 to 18.00)

Beginners courses are run throughout the year where you can take full advantage of club equipment. You will be given details on field and shooting safety, the correct way to stand how to hold a bow and also archery etiquette. If you’re a beginner a new member or even an existing member you are able to use club equipment for as long as is required. We are able to supply recurve, compound and even longbow’s as well as other items (arm guard, finger tab’s, quivers, bow stands) to help make your archery experience a safe and happy one. New and existing members are also able to take advantage of one to one coaching as often as required at no extra cost.

As a club we run regular competitions and actively encourage and support any members that wish to take part in them but no one is pressured to enter if they feel they are not ready.
