Matchday 20 ⚽️ Wem town Devs (A)

A 2–0 away win at the Butler Sports Centre keeps the 3 Pts coming in 🔥

The pitch proved to be a big equaliser, stopping us from playing our usual football, so the lads had to adapt and play to the conditions. On a surface that was nothing but mud and no grass, it became a real battle and one we fully embraced.

Motm goes to the Ginger Bulldog, Alex Williamson 🐶❤️ Given clear instructions to win his battles and lead the lads to victory, Alex was immense from start to finish. He capped off his performance with an assist for the second goal, rising well to flick on a corner to the back post where Harrison Gregory produced a tidy back heel tap in 👏⚽️

A gritty and well worked performance and another important away win. Up the 1️⃣9️⃣7️⃣5️⃣ 🔴⚪️

We will be welcoming Wem town devs next week to the Oakengates 4G Astro arena for a 3pm kick off hopefully see us back to the usual football⚽️

Announcement 😢

After today’s hard fought victory, there was a bittersweet moment for everyone connected with the club as our manager decided to step away.

This win felt fitting, a reflection of everything he’s poured into this team. From the commitment on the touchline to the belief he’s instilled in every player, his heart and soul have been written all over this side. He’s helped build not just a team, but a group that fights for each other, represents the badge properly, and enjoys playing the game the right way.

The Three Crowns won today, but the impact of our manager goes far beyond the result. His influence will be felt long after the final whistle, and his legacy will remain part of this club.

From everyone involved at The Three Crowns, thank you for everything.

Go well Mitchell Mason, don’t be a stranger. ❤️⚽

🔴⚪️ DONE DEAL 🔴⚪️

Two of our lads, Alistair Heighway and Marc Wardle, have left 1975 to join Ercall Colts. This season, they made 14 and 10 appearances respectively, and have now moved on for a new challenge.

They’ve already started making an impact at their new club, helping Colts to a 2-1 victory over Shawbury Devs this weekend. Marc put in a tireless shift in central midfield, while Alistair provided the crucial assist for the winning goal in the dying minutes.

Everyone at Ercall 1975 would like to wish them the very best for the future. We’re also looking forward to meeting them again! 🔴⚪️

Connor Smith made it 3–0 to Ercall 1975 with his second of the game, an outstanding contribution from the fullback.
After opening the scoring with a superb free kick, connor surged forward again to finish clinically and complete a brilliant brace, underlining Ercall’s control of the match.

The 4th goal summed up Ercalls energy and teamwork perfectly. A driving run from Don broke through the Mereside midfield, drawing defenders before he timed his pass to perfection to find Diggler in space. On his debut, the full back showed real composure, finishing confidently to register his first goal for the club. A well worked move, capped off by a landmark moment for Diggler and a crucial contribution from Don as Ercall continued to pull clear. 🔴⚪️1️⃣9️⃣7️⃣5️⃣🔴⚪️

Ercall 1975 1-0 from the training ground set piece, and at the heart of it was Owen Rigby, absolutely monster in the moment against Mereside Rangers. The delivery was asking for a hero and Rigby answered like it was written for him. Snuck his way through the box, wanted it more than anyone else, and attacked the ball with pure striker’s instinct. Bang. No doubt. No mercy. A proper centre forward’s goal.
That’s what Owen Rigby gives you - presence, power, and a nose for goals when it matters. Big game, big moment, little man up top. The 1️⃣9️⃣7️⃣5️⃣ knew it, the crowd knew it, and Mereside Rangers had no answer. Different class. 🔴⚪️
