🌊 From Age 3 to the Sea 🌊

We are bursting with pride for our girl Cassidy, who at just 18 has secured her very first professional dance contract with Royal Caribbean’s Utopia of the Seas — starting April 2026 🤩⚓️✨

Cassidy began her dance journey in MD’s Baby Ballet class at just three years old 🩰. I’ve had the privilege of training her ever since, and watching her grow into the beautiful dancer — and person — she is today has been one of my greatest joys 💖.

From the very beginning, Cassidy followed her training pathway with dedication and integrity. She took every exam in order in both RAD and ISTD examination boards and never skipped a grade. Cassidy committed herself wholeheartedly to her training at MD. She was, on many occasions, an All England Dance finalist, and her discipline, loyalty, and work ethic have shaped her into the artist she is now 🌟.

Cassidy secured a Trinity Dance Diploma scholarship at The Hammond in Chester, leaving home at just 16 to continue her training. She is now in her final graduate year — all while remaining very much a part of the MD family ❤️.

Her journey is a true inspiration — a reminder that when you follow your passion, trust the process, and stay committed to your dreams, incredible things happen ✨. Cassidy is living proof that hard work, consistency, and heart can take you anywhere.

We cannot wait for her to begin this exciting new chapter and step confidently into her professional career 🌟

Competition Season🏆

It’s officially begun and we’ve already had a blast of a start💫

Happy birthday to our Principal and Founder, Deborah Jane Ashford✨

We are so proud of the achievements our school has made over the years and the standard of training by Deborah for our incredibly dedicated students over the years. She is a true inspiration for so many young dancers and performers, and the MD Family that we are so lucky to have all began with a young girl and a dream to dance.

Deborah trained at where after graduating in 1988, had a wonderful career in the dance and theatre industry, establishing “PFL - Performing For Life” in 2004. After many years, the school relocated to our current home in Hortonwood, and in 2011 became “MD School Of Performing Arts”, bringing new life and new faces to our new home at the time. 13 years on, and we have seen students go on to have professional careers in the industry, achieve exceptional academic excellence, all while carrying with them the life lessons and skills they obtained whilst training with us. “MD Academy” as we now stand, is a business amongst the best dance schools in Shropshire, and we are incredibly proud of our students, our dedicated staff, our parents, guardians, families and friends who have all supported us over the years. But we are, of course, most proud of the incredible work and talent of Debbie, our mentor, our greatest support, and our Principal.

We cannot wait to see what the future has in store for our students and establishment, but for now, please join us in wishing Debbie the happiest of birthdays! 🥳❤️🖤⭐️
