📣🏑 SUNDAY SHOUTOUT! 🏑📣

Another weekend, and more reasons to smile at TWHC 😁💙❤️

Shoutout to our Men’s 1st Team, who put in a convincing performance yesterday to secure a brilliant 6–1 victory! 🔥💪

Six goals, three points and plenty to be happy about.

The Men’s 2s also ground out a hard-fought 2–1 win!

🏑 But this week’s shoutout doesn't stop on the pitch…

A huge thank you to our esteemed chair of the club Chris, Callum and Sammy for putting in the hard work to start carpeting the bank for our spectators! 🙌

It’s efforts like these that help make our club a better place for everyone, and we really appreciate the time and effort you’re putting in. ❤️

Well done to everyone who played, supported and volunteered this weekend. Here’s to more of the same next week! 🏑👏

The u14 boys were in action in the Tier 1 league vs Chester HC on Sunday.

It was another goal-fest after their meeting in pre-season finished 5-5.

Another draw, with our boys taking the extra point by winning the shuffles.

A wonderful game to be involved in, with plenty of learning for all.

Thank you to the opposition, umpires, coaches, managers and support on the sidelines.

🏑 A great friendly for our U18 Girls!

After their scheduled opposition had to cancel, the West Mids Saga O55s got in touch with Telford looking for a game — and our U18 Girls, led by coach Matt, were more than happy to step up!

It turned into a fantastic match: competitive, end-to-end hockey with plenty of goals and both sides giving everything.

The final score finished 4–4 🤝

A brilliant experience for our U18s and a great example of hockey bringing different generations together on the pitch.

A big well done to Matt and the girls, and thanks to the West Mids Saga O55s for a really enjoyable game! 💙🏑

🔮🏑 THE PREDICTOR – MATCH WEEK 3! 🏑🔮

And just like that… Match Week 3 is done and dusted! 👀

🏆 WEEKLY WINNER:
🥇 4th Team RTG – Alex Ward — 9 points!

A massive week from Alex, proving once again that apparently predicting hockey could be a legitimate skill… 😂🔮

Just behind with 8 points:

🥈 Aston Villans – Ben Stevens
🥈 Goal diggers – Cassie Nightingale
🥈 Rock45 – Gavin Goodwin

But what does it look like at the top of the overall leaderboard? 👀

🥇 LW – Lianne Wright — 23 points
🥇 Busy Bee's – Ruth Brazier — 23 points

Only 2 points separate the top six! 😮‍💨🔥

Will LW and Busy Bee’s hold onto the top spot?
Will the Angriest Man in Telford get even angrier? 😂

🔮 Same time next week…

📣🏑 SUNDAY SHOUTOUT! 🏑📣

What a weekend for some goals! 🔥

This week’s Sunday Shoutout goes to our Men’s Over 35s who put out a great performance today with a brilliant 8–2 victory! 👏💪

And they weren’t the only ones finding the back of the net this weekend…

Our Women’s 4s also got in on the action with 8 goals of their own! 😮‍💨🔥

A huge well done to everyone who played, scored, saved, tackled, umpired, supported and generally contributed to another great weekend for Telford & Wrekin HC. ❤️💙

On Saturday, our junior badgers team popped up to watch the Men’s 1s in their goal-filled Midlands Premier League fixture vs Rugby & EW, before they ran out winners vs Barton HC. A fantastic learning experience for them, the M1s certainly appreciated their support from the sidelines 🗣️👏🫶

👉 The u14 Boys started their season in the T1 league with a win at home vs Newport HC on Sunday. Big thanks to Alan & James for umpiring, our opposition, the coaches and parents for their support. Fantastic to see so much talent on show in Shropshire
