January 1st is merely an arbitrary point on a timeline – had it not been for the calendar reform, we would be celebrating Christmas today, which only proves that social rituals rarely align with our authentic, internal rhythm.
In yoga, we learn that the most important moment is "now," and the only constant is change, which doesn't need an official date to manifest. So, instead of yielding to the collective pressure of New Year's resolutions, I prefer to listen to the signals coming from my body and mind. They, not the numbers on a calendar, indicate when we need rest and when we are ready for a new beginning.
Today, on my birthday, I celebrate this private microcosm. For me, it’s a time of deep mindfulness and gratitude for the past year – without the fireworks, but in full presence. Instead of waiting for the world's countdown, I choose my own pace.

Please check out the new newsletter on Yoga Nidra 😉

Hi! Are you ready to dedicate 15 minutes each morning?
I’ve prepared 3 Yin Yoga poses
They will help release tension along the sides of the body, support the energy flow in the liver and gallbladder meridians, and bring a sense of lightness for the season ahead.
