Evening all, So jus a quick update as we’ve been quiet again! No show this year, we couldn’t work the available dates with the eyes that could host us!

On another note anyone weighing from 55-70kg up for some sparring anytime soon. Looking for West Berks, North Hants, South Oxon, Wiltshire way. Our guy will happily travel to train. Give us a shout so we can arrange something!! Peace out Muddy Funksters

Our very own Matt The Monk Baillie is stepping through the ropes again, this time on Tank Promotions in Swindon this weekend! Everyone at WBWCB wishes Monk all the best! Matt has got himself in great shape for this bout and we can’t wait to see him arm raised come Saturday night!!

🚨 POSSIBLE DATE FOR YOUR DIARY… 🚨

We’re looking at bringing West Berks White Collar Boxing back to Newbury on 15th August 💥
Nothing is fully locked in yet — we’re sounding things out before we press the big red button.

If we go ahead, training camp would start early June and run for 10 weeks, building up to fight night. Same format, same buzz, same life-changing experience.

So before we confirm everything, we want to gauge interest 👇

👍 = I want to FIGHT
❤️ = I’d be up for the TRAINING CAMP and FIGHT
🤗 = I’d come along to SUPPORT / buy tickets
😂 = I know someone who should do this (and I’m tagging them…)

8 years ago today we held our first fight night! Who wants another one?

Anyone on my friends list lay ceramic or porcelain floor tiles for a living? I’m after a quote please.

Morning all.

It’s been a while and we can only apologise for not being more active on socials but it’s been a busy world and we’ve not really had anything to report.

Until now….

We have decided, for now at least, not to book another show in! We’ve thought long and hard about it and due to our personal circumstances, work and family etc, we wouldn’t be in a position to give it the focus and attention it deserves and as a result we may have struggled to put a show on to our usual high standards. We will not compromises the quality and safety of the shows just to sell a few tickets!

This is not us retiring from putting shows on, we will be back, however with the lack of big enough indoor venues and training facilities not being as available as previously we are not sure, where or when our next show will be!

Sorry again to disappoint anyone who was looking forward to getting involved in one of our shows and thanks to everyone who has supported our shows over the last 6/7 years. We’ve happed raise over £30000 for various charities such as

The Rosemary Appeal
The Frank Bruno Foundation
JDRF
British Heart Foundation
Cancer Research UK
SAFFA

and loads more thought the generous donations via our boxers, raffles, auctions and fight sponsors, something for everyone who has helped out, boxed or bought a ticket for one of our shows to be very proud about!!

Sorry we’ve been so quiet the last few weeks!

We had hoped to have some positive news but it seems Northcroft Leisure Centre are no longer willing to hold boxing shows so we will exclusively be holding shows at Newbury Rugby Club, the next one is planned for June!

We are however keen still to find alternative venues in and around the town so please let us know if you know anyone with a barn/warehouse/large venue that doesn’t want silly money to rent it to us for a night and we will see what we can arrange!

Powell Vs Davies

Ryan joined us from another gym a couple of months ago…previously boxed for a year and a half but had a break when he had a daughter. His love for boxing brought him back to it about 4 months ago and he has his first fight this September winning on points. A come forward fighter who likes keeping the pressure on constantly.

Ryan takes on Louis from West berks white collar boxing. He’s been training on and off for the last few months. Holding the same record as Ryan this is a real 50/50 fight.

Saturday March 4th????? Anyone??
