"GBSA skaters have and do skate at Wigan, I teach artistic classes there. The British Artistic Championships were here at this rink in 1980. More recently Signature and Red Rose clubs train here regularly". Max Wahid (GBSA)

Well done to the skaters and free skating coaching team for delivering an exceptional free training intensive in Birmingham for our championship artistic roller skaters. 🛼

This session provided an invaluable opportunity for our athletes to refine the technical and physical requirements of the Free Skating discipline. The comprehensive curriculum ensured a balanced focus on both elite performance and foundational excellence:

Technical Ex*****on: Jump mechanics and spin rotations.

Artistic Presentation: Choreographic refinement and movement quality.

Off-Skates Conditioning: Targeted fitness and dry training for peak athletic output.

Fundamental Mastery: Precision skating skills essential for the championship level.

We are immensely grateful for the coaches' commitment to elevating the standard of British artistic roller skating and for their dedication to developing the next generation of podium-ready athletes. 🏆

First dance training day of the year complete 🙌
You said... "Can GBSA facilitate international dance training days for knowledge sharing and exchanging best practice among coaches across Great Britain."
We did... This weekend GBSA hosted dance training sessions, for solo and couples, offered to all skaters selected for the upcoming German Cup and World Cup. We overcame venue challenges and short lead times, by using both Hartpury and Herne Bay to ensure we could deliver before these big competitions.

Well done to all involved and thank you to our coaches.
