Exciting to receive a phone call to confirm we have been chosen to receive funding from the NSL Amex Super Shot fund.

Thank you so much to American Express and to Leeds Rhinos Netball for choosing our club. The funding will be put towards our Bee leader courses for our new Thursday sessions. 🙏

Here's why we are raising funds ⬇️

Giving children a healthy snack before sport can make a real difference to how they feel and perform.

Children are often coming straight from school, and by the time an evening sports session starts, it may have been several hours since they last ate. A light, healthy snack can:

* 🏐 Boost energy levels so they can take part fully in training and matches.
* 🧠 Improve concentration, helping them listen, learn new skills and make good decisions on court.
* 💪 Reduce tiredness and fatigue, making sport more enjoyable.
* 😊 Help maintain mood and confidence, as hunger can make children irritable or less engaged.
* ❤️ Encourage healthy eating habits by showing the importance of fuelling their bodies for exercise.

At Thirsk Netball Club, we want every child to arrive ready to enjoy their session. Providing a healthy snack before training helps ensure our young players have the energy they need to learn, develop their skills, and most importantly, have fun playing netball.
