The 2026-27 Season is about to get underway!

This year we have 9 teams across 4 pubs in Thornbury.

The fixture list has now been released and fixtures can also be viewed on the website - https://thornburypoolleague.leaguerepublic.com/indexMatchHub.html

This season starts on 1 September 2026 and will culminate on Finals Day on Saturday 5 June 2027.

Singles and Doubles entries need to be registered and paid up (£5 per person per competition) by the end of September. Please speak to your team Captains or Vice Captains to get involved.

Want to try something new this September?

Thornbury Pool League will be returning for a new season!

Matches most Tuesdays at 8pm across various pubs in Thornbury from September 2026 until May 2027!

You don't need to be a pro. If you enjoy having a knock about with some friends, or want an opportunity to make some new friends, inquire at your preferred pub about starting or joining a team!

We have existing teams in the Black Horse, Wheatsheaf, Royal George and Malthouse, and we are looking to get a new team in the White Lion too.

Under 18s are also free to play (with parent/guardian permission). Feel free to sign up together!

Key Notes:

Singles and Doubles Cup and Plate finals are best of 7.

With the exception of QF3 due to this also doubling up as their league game, all Team Cup fixtures are first to 5.

In all cases the next game will start as soon as possible once a table is available.

Players are expected to arrive at least 15 mins before their scheduled game.

Both tables are being levelled that morning and games will be played on their assigned table.

The Black Horse is hosting a Charity Pool Tournament on Saturday 30 August 2025. If interested in signing up please sign up at the bar or speak to Chris Hall or Max Tudor.

Are you looking for a new activity to try? Are you interested in meeting new people?

Thornbury Pool League are seeking new teams for the 2025-26 Season!

Matches are played on Tuesday Evenings at 8pm from September through to May 2026. We also hold a variety of cup competitions, including Team, Singles and Doubles. The season culminates on Finals Day, which will take place on Saturday 30th May 2026.

We currently have teams playing out of The Black Horse, The Malthouse and The Royal George. The Wheatsheaf are also keen to put a team together for next season.
