Well… what can we say about these boys today?! 🤩⚽️

Today was probably the best game these boys have played together. They played football, passed the ball, looked for each other and absolutely dominated the game from start to finish! 👏🔥

Considering the boys have never beaten this team before, today’s match was absolutely amazing and the boys took the 3 points — and that scoreline was even more amazing! 😍🙌

Every single one of you gave everything today and showed just how much you are developing as a team. We are all so incredibly proud of every single one of you. Each week you surprise us more and more! 💙🖤

🏆 MANAGERS PLAYER — HARRY 🏆

This week’s Managers Player goes to Harry! ⭐️

Harry played absolutely amazing today. He listened, stayed focused and, most importantly, didn’t lose his head once.

Harry can sometimes struggle when things don’t go his way, but today he stayed in the game, kept his composure and never stopped working. We were so proud of him today. ❤️

Well done Harry — you absolutely deserved it! 👏🏆

🏆 PARENTS PLAYER — JUDE 🏆

This week’s Parents Player goes to Jude! ⭐️

And honestly… there’s no surprise here! Jude came onto that pitch today and played the best we have ever seen him play! 🔥⚽️

It was absolutely lovely to watch him play with such a big smile on his face. His tackles were amazing, he set up goals and he was simply outstanding today! 👏💙

Well done Jude — what a performance! 🏆💙🖤

⚽️ FIRST GAME OF THE SEASON ⚽️

Today the boys played their first game of the season away at Dunscroft.
The boys started the game really well and showed us just what they are capable of. There are definitely a few areas we need to work on, but that is all part of football and part of growing together as a team.

Dunscroft kept pushing throughout the game, but our boys never let their heads drop and kept fighting until the very end. The game was so close to finishing as a draw, but unfortunately, at a crucial time, one of our players had to come off the pitch and Dunscroft managed to score the winning goal.

But that result does not define how well our boys played today. ❤️💙

We have things to work on, and we will keep learning, improving and going again. One thing the boys showed today was that they never gave up and never let their heads drop.

Layke 👏
Layke stayed strong throughout the game and worked incredibly hard for the team. He was all over the pitch today, putting in a brilliant shift from start to finish. A very well-deserved Manager’s Player — well done, Layke! ⭐️

🏆 Parents’ Player of the Match

Sonny 👏⚽️⚽️
This was Sonny’s second game with us, and he has settled into the team beautifully already. Sonny managed to bag himself 2 goals today! He was strong, worked incredibly hard and was all over the pitch. He played with confidence, and we are so pleased to have him as part of our team.

Well done, Sonny — another very well-deserved award! ⭐️

Keep going, boys! We all know just how good you are as a team. Today wasn’t the result we wanted, but there were so many positives to take from the game.

Keep your heads high, keep believing in yourselves and keep working hard for each other. ❤️💙

We forgot to give some of are coaches, parents , refs some limelight from the coaches tournament they did. Was a brilliant day and they ended up going right to final and was unlucky in penalties. The kids absolutely loved watching their dads and brothers play instead of other way round . Such a lovely bunch of teams played aswell. Was really enjoyable day. What can we say about these boys today other than they’re an absolutely brilliant bunch of lads! 💙🖤

Today they took on the Doncaster Summer Champions Series Tournament and what a day they had! ⚽️🏆

They topped their group table, battled their way through the semi-final and made it all the way to the Champions League final. Unfortunately, they just fell short in the final, but they should be incredibly proud of themselves.

They brought home the runners-up trophy, but to us they’re definitely champions! 🏆❤️ They played their little hearts out from start to finish.

It’s been a very long but absolutely brilliant day, and every single one of these boys deserves a massive WELL DONE! 👏👏

The boys signed and ready for the 2026/27 season as club Thorne under 8 yellows. Such a fun idea for the lads to feel like proper little football players. Come on lads ! ⚽️

⚽️💙💛 CLUB THORNE UNDER 7 YELLOWS PENALTY SHOOTOUT FUNDRAISER 💛💙⚽️

Our Club Thorne Under 7 Yellows boys are taking part in a fun Penalty Shootout Challenge to help raise funds towards new training kits, equipment, team activities and supporting their continued development throughout the season.

The challenge is simple:

🥅 Score as many penalties as you can
🏆 The player with the most goals wins
🎉 Lots of fun for all the boys
🤣 And to make it even more entertaining, the goalkeeper will be wearing a SUMO SUIT!

Any donation, big or small, is greatly appreciated and will go directly towards helping the boys with training kits, equipment and other opportunities that support their football journey and development.

What a fantastic first presentation night for Club Thorne Under 7s Yellows – 2025/26! 💙🖤⚽

The boys had an amazing evening, dancing, playing, and just being boys! 😂 They absolutely loved receiving their gifts and trophies, and it was a brilliant way to celebrate everything they’ve achieved in their very first season together.

We also presented five special awards:
🏆 Manager’s Player – Layke Smith
🏆 Players’ Player – Lennox Bentham
🏆 Most Improved – Jude Mennie
🏆 Parents’ Player – Clark Griffith
🏆 Team Player – Henry Gutteridge

Although these awards can’t be given to every player, every single one of the boys should be incredibly proud of what they’ve achieved this season. They’ve all worked so hard, improved massively, and should use this as motivation to aim even higher at next year’s presentation.

A huge well done to Clark, Leo, Jude, Teddy, Layke, Lennox, Henry, Harry and Jaxon. You’ve all been a credit to the team, and we can’t wait to see what next season brings.
