Expect tight battles on the course, great laughs around the club, and some legendary post‑race storytelling back at the club. It’s going to be fast, fun, and absolutely brilliant.

DISCOVER SAILING OPEN DAY – WHAT A FANTASTIC DAY!

What an amazing Discover Sailing Open Day at Blackpool & Fleetwood Yacht Club today. We were treated to beautiful weather and perfect sailing conditions — ideal for anyone wanting to give sailing a try.

We had a brilliant turnout with families, couples and individuals of all ages. Some were completely new to sailing, while others were returning after a few years away. It was wonderful to see so many smiles out on the water and so much enthusiasm around the club.

A huge thank you to all our incredible members who volunteered and supported the event —
whether you were helming, out on the safety RIB, helping fit buoyancy aids, marshalling, welcoming visitors or keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes.
Your time, energy and passion are what make days like this possible.

Here’s to more people discovering the joy of sailing at BFYC.

FATHER'S DAY LUNCH at Blackpool & Fleetwood Yacht Club and The Boat Yard

Evening Series – Race 1 – Sunday 24th May
Our Evening Series kicks off this Sunday — a brilliant way to round off the weekend.

Tide: 7.3m
Whether you’re racing or watching from the slipway, the atmosphere is always fantastic.
The Boat Yard will also be open for food and drinks, so you can refuel or relax after the race.

It's that time of year again when we are asking for volunteers to join a Spring working party on Tuesday, 26th May from 6pm, to get the club looking its best in time for our Open Day (30th May).

Soup and sandwiches at 8pm for all volunteers.
