On the biggest night in Live Wyre Wrestling history, in front of a sold-out Cleveleys Citizens Hall, history was rewritten.

For months, “Wildfire” Nate Reese had ruled as champion, seemingly untouchable. But at Summer Showdown – already the biggest event Live Wyre Wrestling has ever presented – he met a challenger who simply refused to quit. The technical master Kev Lloyd weathered everything the champion could throw at him, surviving near-falls, explosive offence and the relentless fight of Reese.

Then came the moment nobody will ever forget.
With the crowd on their feet and the atmosphere at fever pitch, Lloyd locked in his submission hold in the centre of the ring. Reese fought with everything he had, crawling desperately towards the ropes... but there was nowhere left to go.

He tapped.

For the first time in Live Wyre Wrestling history, Nate Reese submitted, crowning Kev Lloyd as the NEW Live Wyre Wrestling World Champion in a moment that will be talked about for years to come.
