Congratulations to all players on their U11 district selection this week 👏🏽

A special well done and congratulations to the 7 past and present FCS Figo’s U11’s who made the squad following the trials process (BC, WH, JB, EB, RB, JS, FS).

From Ryan and Kal at the Figo’s, we are extremely proud of not only the boys selected but the other Figo’s who went far in the selection process just missing out in what is an age group of extremely talented players. A testament to the strength and quality within the Figo’s.

U9 Girls PoM this week was OB 🧤⚽️

Making her league debut in goal for the team, she was confident reacted quickly and made the ball safe at the quickest opportunity.

She was brave in getting to the ball before the opposition and made a great penalty save too.

Captain for next week is HT. the energy was off the scale today, covering every blade of grass to win the ball back and not give her opponent time on the ball.

Well done girls 👏🏻⚽️

Coaches & Parents’ Player of the Week — BP 👏

Challenged BP to play at the back on his own, and he took the task with both hands.

Composed on the ball, with huge awareness off it. He shielded the ball brilliantly, which is a massive positive addition to his game. Absolutely solid in his position, showing great calmness and composure under pressure.
Took his goal really well too! ⚽️

Player of the match honours were shared for the U16 girls this week.
SB, who is going from strength to strength as a relatively new player - this week showing off a newfound ability to hold off an opponent while receiving on the turn.
And LRM who repeatedly puts in high-level performances, mesmerising opponents with the speed of her feet, and impressing coaches with her heroic workrate.

⚽🏆FCS INIESTAS U10s

We would like to thank Lytham Maroons for a good game.

Coaches POTM went to JW - fantastic performance today ! Played on both wings and his preferred position striker. He executed perfectly today what the coaches asked of him. Absolutely ice cold under pressure and certainly had this shooting boots on today. Dropping deep to link up play and then fantastic attacking positioning.

Oppositions MOTM - LW aka the cat🐱 - excellent all round performance today, brilliant shot stopping, decision making, distribution and communication. Impressed us and the oppositions coaches.

Trainer of the week meaning today’s captain JW - was a different lad at training this week and carried through to today’s game. Listened with intent, did what was asked of him and worked hard throughout. Solid captain’s performance today setting a new standard for himself ⚽️

Really big effort today from all the lads in a really tough game with plenty of energy and determination on show.
Managers Player the is week is HS who made some fantastic saves, coming off his line at the right moments to clear the ball and organising his defence. Well done H!
Parents Player this week is EA. EA never gave anything up, making some great tackles, being strong and tenacious and gave 100% effort.

NEYMARS U10⚽️

Today’s match was a real game of two halves, with difficult conditions and strong winds which at times made it difficult for both teams to play football. Despite this, the boys fought, showed great effort and determination especially in the first half.

Coaches player - 🏆HM⚽️

HM had a very good performance, showing excellent vision, strength and passing ability throughout the game. He was able to see passes early and make good decisions with the ball, helping to create opportunities for his teammates and getting involved in both attacking and defensive situations. - WELL DONE ⚽️

Parents player - 🏆MA & EF ⚽️

MA gave everything from the start and was always looking to create chances. He was aware of the space, tracked back and he contributed defensively. His work rate, hard work and his attacking were rewarded with two well taken goals before half-time. WELL DONE

EF showed excellent footwork and composure when under pressure, using his feet well to drive out of danger and retain possession. He demonstrated good ability to drive forward and helping the team progress up the pitch and wasn’t shying away from any 50-50 challenges - WELL DONE

We would like to thank fcs Ronaldo's today for brilliant game of football from both teams 🤝

Manager/coaches MOTM

O - from the warm up he showed he certainly had those shooting boots on and taken that into today's game working hard and getting stuck in for the team, coming away with lots of goals and his last being an absolute worldy well done !⚽

Parents player was a tie so well done to J & R

J- worked very hard up and down the wing and also playing in CM today never stopped and grabbing himself 2 assists for the team

R - box to box today in cm working hard as he always does and even grabbing himself 2 goals for his hard work.

A very well done to the whole team today was a brilliant performance from start to finish manager and coaches are very proud of you all 💪

Both teams an absolute credit to FCS
