PFYC River Race Today!
A lovely blustery day with a drop of rain at the end. The high wind speed (for dinghys) made for some close racing, some capsizes and a broken gooseneck on one of the booms!

It’s been a busy old time at PFYC!
On Sunday we had our usual racing series complete with wind shift, causing the start line to be moved between races!
On Monday we helped RNLI Thurso with an exercise so they could practice various rescue techniques including with smaller capsized boats.
On Tuesday we had the full RS Zest training fleet out for our Tuesday night practice and training session!

Tuesday night was a brilliant session on the water 🌊
Plenty of “successful” capsizes from our trainees — all part of the learning and great to see everyone pushing themselves, getting stuck in, and having a laugh while doing it!
Confidence is growing every week… even if that means ending up upside down now and then 😄
