🦊 VIXENS OF THE MATCH • EMILY P, KATE & ROWAN 🦊

We were back on home ground yesterday, and while the score didn’t go our way we still had lots of great player performances on the pitch in the sun! ☀️

Emily Polson bagged herself Forward of the Match! After a transition into the forwards over the summer Emily has found her place on the pitch and has been improving each week as her confidence visibly grows! Big carries in attack and hard hits in defence, Emily’s been doing it all! 🤩

Kate had a great game yesterday, coming off the bench and making some great cover tackles in an attempt to stop the opposition’s score creeping up any more! Kate’s pace played a huge part in yesterday’s game! 🙌🏽

And Rowan was once again the opposition’s player of the match, doing what she does best and facing up to the challenge, making some huge carries and managing to break the gain line whenever she had the ball in her possession! 💪🏽

Well done to you all for your performance yesterday! We’re looking forward to a week off this weekend after a heavy start to the season, before we return to Dundee to face their 2XV on the 4th October! ❤️‍🔥

🏉HILLFOOTS VIXENS 5 - 70 HOWE HARLEQUINS🏉

It wasn’t our day today, unfortunately, but we still left the pitch with spirits high and a positive outlook! 🙌🏽

We went into today’s fixture knowing we had a huge challenge ahead of us, and Howe certainly left their mark on Hillfoots today! 🏉

However, once again our Vixens stuck in to the very last whistle, with some great runs battling through Howe’s defensive line, we just struggled to get them all over the try line.

The team can be very proud of themselves for yet again rising to the challenge and working together! ❤️‍🔥

We look forward to a rest week next weekend, before we get back on the road to Dundee on the 4th of October! 🚗

🦊 VIXENS OF THE MATCH • SUZANNE, FREYA & ROWAN 🦊

It was the first away game of the season yesterday which saw us make the trip through to Edinburgh to face Broughton! The sun was shining on us and, despite the final score, the team had a great day! ☀️

Suzanne was voted forward of the match - how could she not be with her fantastic break over the gainline?! She was making hit after hit and kept the team’s spirits up throughout the game! 💪🏽

Freya was back with us on the pitch and had a great game, making some big tackles and carrying hard every time the ball made it into her hands! 🙌🏽

And Rowan had her first appearance of the season, making it well known that she’s not lost her skill of breaking away in attack and making an insane number of tackles in defence! 🤩

We knew today would be a challenge but with plenty of fresh legs on the bench this week we managed to stick in until the final whistle! 🤩
