So today we travelled to Tamworth FC for our first game of the season. You could not write it, the best 2 teams last season in Division 1 were playing the first game of the season.
We knew that not just today but this season is going to be a test for us and today would be no different.
Going in at half time 1.0 down after a defected shot from Tamworth beat the keeper, we knew we were still in this game, as there was nothing in it as both teams battled it out, and both had chances.
The second half was no different with both teams giving everything, and the next goal would be vital, and it came for us with a fantastic goal from Mia which was too high for the keeper. We were back in the game!
As the game went on both teams again had chances but it was right at the end in injury time where Tamworth got the winner in a scramble in the yard box and saw them hit it in the back of the net. We still had a couple of chances at the end with a few corners but just did not drop for us.
I take my hat off to every player in our team today as they all gave everything out there on the pitch and now we go back to training and prepare for the next game.
