Dynamic Dance Tonbridge

What a lovely Presentation afternoon we all enjoyed today, our lovely pupils deserved their Awards, as all their exam results were excellent. Thank you to all those who came along and a special thank you to the pupils who demonstrated their work to parents. And a BIG Thank you to my family for all your help today and also to Tonbridge Parish Church for allowing us to use the Church for the afternoon

Theatre Skills for beginners in Tonbridge - a fun new class starting this September as an introduction to the basics of Ballet, Theatrecraft and tap dancing. This class is generally aimed at children from 4 to 7 years old.

Members of the class will have an opportunity to perform on a theatre stage in January 2025 in our annual showcase of dancing.

We've now received the results from this summer's exams. A Massive well done to all our students - we are really proud of you all.

Tonbridge Cottage Hospital Garden Party takes place This Sunday June 16th, and The Tonbridge Lions Musical Memories Choir will be performing. Last year was so much fun for everyone.

Annual show in January, fun exams in Summer.

Our dance classes return in Tonbridge, Golden Green and Tudeley this week. We do have some space in some of our classes in Ballet, Tap, Contemporary Modern Jazz, Funky Street and Musical Theatre as the restrictions of covid are lifted. Newcomer are welcome to a free trial lesson.

So lovely to welcome back all our childrens classes back to our studio this week. We are so pleased to see the amazing results after months of hard work on zoom now we can see everyone in person. In a few weeks we'll welcome our adults and musical theatre classes back too. Cant wait to see everyone there too.

So great to be back in our studio today. We are so proud of all our students who adapted to the new procedures and produced some great dancing. It was great to see the dances we've been teaching on-line over the last few months in real life! Well done everyone!

Dear Parents / Students,

Firstly, we hope you are all safe and well at this difficult time.

As you would expect we have been monitoring the situation with COVID-19 closely, which is why last week we introduced stringent new cleaning and sanitising of ballet barres, cups, surfaces, etc at all our classes as well as re-choreographing all work to avoid touching other dancers. We appreciate your understanding of this.

However, the situation has continued to change daily (sometimes hourly), and following the Prime ministers briefing yesterday and with advice from other parties today, we feel that we probably fall into the category of “non-essential activity and social contact”.

Sadly, we have to announce that we are suspending all classes until further notice.

This is the most difficult decision we have ever had to make and we are incredibly sad - our attitude has always been that “the show must go on!” but these are unprecedented times and we are also finding that venues and activities are closing all around us.

As this situation progresses, we will look at ways to keep your dancing passions alive (and ours!) so watch this space. We will also be offering catch up classes to make up for the rest of this term when we return.

We would like to personally thank you for your continued support at this incredibly tough time.

The Show DVD is likely to be available from early next week, and we will soon post the photos of the show in our website members area, so watch out in your email inboxes for further information.
