🔥 GRADING WEEKEND - SMASHED!! 🔥

What an EPIC Day 2 of Grading!! 🥋💥

It was amazing to see just how much progress everyone has made. The hard work, determination and hours of training really showed on the mats, and we’re SO proud of how everyone performed! 👊

A massive shoutout to junior leader Ava for assisting us all weekend, and to all our sparrers, you guys dug deep, kept going and pushed through even during that BRUTAL rolling ton up! 😮‍💨🔥 That’s exactly the resilience and determination we want to see! 👊

Gradings are designed to challenge you, push you outside your comfort zone and see how you perform under pressure, because that’s how we grow, improve and LEVEL UP! 🚀

🥋 THANK YOU, HORSMONDEN! 👊

What an epic day at Leigh Academy Horsmonden today! We had the pleasure of working with every year group, and it was brilliant to see so many students getting stuck in and giving Kickboxing a go! 🔥

From fitness and techniques to fun games and challenges, there was plenty to test everyone throughout the day! 💪

A huge thank you to Junior Leader Preston for coming along and helping us teach and support the students, you did an awesome job! 👊

And of course, a massive thank you to Horsmonden Primary School for having us. What a brilliant school! ❤️

We absolutely love being part of the local community and introducing more young people to the benefits of martial arts, confidence, discipline, fitness, resilience and having the courage to challenge yourself.

📣 SHOUTOUT INCOMING - THANK YOU, NATHAN! 👊

We’d like to give a HUGE shoutout and thank you to Nathan Vinton, who has been instrumental in helping us with our latest dojo upgrades, designing, building and installing our brand new bespoke steel punchbag frame! 🔥🥊

Nathan has been an incredible supporter of the club ever since his daughter Dolly started training with us back in July 2024. From helping us massively when we were fitting out the Paddock Wood dojo, to supporting the club, bringing Dolly along to competitions and events, and always being willing to lend a hand!! 😍

Our club is about so much more than just what happens on the mats. It’s the people and families around us who make our community what it is, and we’re very lucky to have people like Nathan as part of it. ❤️

Thank you, Nathan, for everything you do for us, the club and, of course, for Dolly! We appreciate you! 👊🔥

🥊 Tonbridge School launch! 🥊

Today marked the beginning of something very exciting for BMMA Kent as we delivered our first Kickboxing session at Tonbridge School.

An excellent first session, with the students embracing the challenge, learning new skills and stepping outside their comfort zones from the very first round. 👊

Kickboxing offers something different to traditional team sports. It challenges you to think under pressure, stay composed when things get difficult, make decisions quickly and push yourself beyond what you thought you were capable of.

That is exactly what we want to build through our programme at Tonbridge confidence, discipline, resilience and the mindset to continually strive to become the best version of yourself.

For the students, this is an opportunity to challenge themselves in a completely different environment, develop skills they can carry into every area of life and discover just how far they can take themselves.

There is no limit to what they can achieve when they’re willing to step outside their comfort zone, embrace the challenge and keep pushing forward.

Today was just the beginning and we can’t wait to see where they take it. 🥊

🥊 FIGHT TEAM SQUADS - SMASHED! 🔥

What a day with our Fight Team! 👊

The team put in a seriously strong session today, and we’re incredibly proud of the progress they’re making. The improvement in technique, fitness, explosive power, and mental resilience has been epic to see. 👏

This is just the beginning. 💪

We’ve got a hard push ahead for the rest of 2026, with plenty of squad sessions, technical development and interclubs to get valuable mat time and experience under their belts. 👊

The goal? 2027 - open competition circuit. 🏆

We can’t wait to get this team out there, testing themselves, gaining experience and stepping into the competitive kickboxing world. 🥊

For now… back to work. 😤💪

🥊 THE IMPORTANCE OF SPARRING 🥊

As we gear up for our September grading, the hard work is stepping up! 🔥

For some of our students, this will be the very first time they are graded on their sparring, while others will be expected to step up another level and show us just how far they’ve come.
Sparring is a key part of our syllabus because it tests so much more than technique. It requires focus, resilience, control, confidence and the ability to stay calm under pressure, all values we strive to instil in every one of our students. 🥋

We know stepping onto the mats and facing an opponent can be daunting. But that’s exactly what martial arts is about, facing your fears, pushing beyond your comfort zone and learning that you are capable of more than you think. 💪

Every round builds experience. Every challenge builds confidence. And every time you step onto those mats, you get stronger mentally and physically. 🚀

We’re behind every single one of you as we head towards grading, and we can’t wait to see what you’re made of!
