🎾Weekend Round-Up🎾

It was a fantastic weekend of competition for our ART players with lots going on including junior & adult team tennis along with several players competing externally!

Congratulations to……..

🐍Mina & Emma our 11U National League team who took a 3-0 win over Sevenoaks to finish the season as division winners 👏

🐍Lilian & Summer our 16U Girls National League team who paired up brilliantly to take a 3-0 home win over Brenchley

🐍Lauren & Annebelle our 14U Girls National League team who won a close fought battle against Meopham 3-0, good fighting girls 💪🏻

🐍Our Mixed 2’s consisting of Ed, Andy, David & Julie who won an incredibly close match away to Gravesham which after finishing 2 rubbers each came down to a games count back which was 39-37 in favour of Chipstead 👏

🐍Emma S won the 11U G5 at Croydon 👏 a nice reward for your hard work on the practice court!

🐍Thomas C won the 10U G4 at Croydon putting in a very solid performance in the final, congratulations Thomas 👏

Well done to all of you for representing yourselves and your club with such great attitudes and turning hard work on the practice court into impressive performances on the match court 💪🏻🐍

🎾Kent Schools Doubles Qualifier🎾

A big well done to all 32 children from the ART program who took part in the Kent Schools Doubles qualifying event held at Bromley Tennis Centre yesterday from Year 2 through to Year 6. We had pairs representing our partner schools Amherst, Chevening, Hildenborough Primary & Stocks Green as well as a few other players representing various other schools from around Sevenoaks.

The children performed brilliantly, showing great teamwork and competing with a superb attitude throughout, putting into practice their much improved doubles skills!

Congratulations to all who successfully qualified through to the Finals Day next Friday where the children will compete to be Kent Schools Doubles champions for their respective age group.

A scorching weekend with our ART players competing far and wide! 13 players and their families took the trip to Newquay for the Grade 3 as well as some sun, sea sand & surf 🏄‍♂️ 🌊 well done all who competed today with a few mentions:

Heron G3……

🐍Oli G moved through his 11U boys R16 in Newquay with his QF to be played tomorrow

🐍Dan W put in a good battle against the 2 seed in the 11U R16 going out 7-6, 6-4, good battling from Dan 💪🏻

🐍Ben M also went out in the R16 in a competitive performance, good effort Ben 👏

🐍Coach James put up a good fight in the men’s open going out in the R32, well done for getting out there James

🐍Theo & Henry W, Gilbert & Murray all had a good experience together in the 9U G5 at Bromley with Theo finishing 3rd and Gilbert & Murray reaching the QF’s

🐍Our Chipstead Mixed 1’s picked up a 4-0 win over Herne Bay in a fun encounter keeping them top of the division

Our May Half Term Camp will be running at Chipstead Place LTC next week from Tuesday-Friday with all standards catered for from ages 5-16. Come and join our friendly & experienced team of coaches for a week of fun on court!

🐍Alice M who won the women’s G3 in Radlett with some confident performances and fantastic feedback to follow

🐍Our Chipstead ladies 1’s who took a home win v DL Beckenham who were a pleasure to host at the club and battled hard making for some entertaining tennis!Well done to Jean, Sachiko, Anisha & Holly. Holly gets a special mention for a great performance in her first appearance for the ladies team!

🐍Vihaan & Ben had a great time competing in the National League v Canterbury, a big thank you to Krithika for finding a way to get the boys there on the train and to Canterbury for hosting!

🐍All 36 players (junior & senior) who took part in our Play Your Way to Wimbledon draws running across this weekend at the club!

Great to see you all challenging yourselves on the match court, putting new skills into practice and learning from each experience, but above all socialising and enjoying time together both on and off the tennis court, well done to all! 👏

Congratulations to our April Player of the Month awards winners who were as follows:

Competitor of the month: Thomas who put in some fantastic, determined and gritty performances in the Twells G3 to reach his first G3 semi-final losing in a marathon match but showing plenty of fight throughout 💪🏻

Hardest worker of the month: Lauren who throughout her regular squads and the Easter Camp she attended demonstrated a fantastic work ethic and willingness to receive feedback and learn. Keep working hard Lauren! 👏

Congratulations to Anisha and her partner who finished Runners-Up in the Kent School Doubles held at Bromley Tennis Centre on Monday representing Walthamstow Hall. Well done to both of you!

🐍Our 11U girls Mina & Emma fought hard to take a 2-1 win over Appetti which came down to the doubles match tie-break

🐍Our 14U boys Jai & William took a 3-0 win at home to Hollybush dealing well with the wet conditions!

🐍Our men’s 2’s took a hard fought win over Kemsing 3 rubbers to 1 with great performances from Captain Phil, Ed, David P & David K, well done chaps 👏

🐍Our men’s 1’s took a 3-1 win over Canterbury, well done to Sami, Tom, Matt & Andrew 👏

Well done to all of you for your efforts and a big thank k you to Yi, Sachiko & Tony who all assisted with the Captain responsibilities for the junior matches, very much appreciated 🙏
