2026 is about building more than just a place to train — it’s about better body understanding and long-term wellness.

2026 is a big year for us — not just in business, but in purpose.

We’ve spent a lot of time reflecting on where we want this journey to go, and it’s clear:
we want to build something that goes beyond training plans and gym sessions.

For Josh, 2026 means:
• Chasing qualification for World Championships in Powerlifting as a 100% natural lifter
• Continuing to develop as a coach while working toward the long-term goal of opening a facility focused on total wellness

For Hayley, 2026 is about:
• Strengthening relationships with local businesses and health professionals
• Building a network where collaboration replaces competition
• Returning to strength training after achieving major weight loss goals, and showing what sustainable progress looks like

But the biggest thing we’ve both recognised?

👉 Community matters.

So this year, we’re committing to being more present, more involved, and more connected.

What this looks like in action:

• Collaborations with trusted health & wellness professionals
• Supporting local food providers delivering quality nutrition to gyms
• Community bootcamps, run clubs & movement-based events
• Educational content on longevity, mobility, gut health, and injury prevention
• Ongoing learning to ensure we coach responsibly — not recklessly

This won’t always be easy.
We’ll learn, adapt, and grow along the way.

But our mission for 2026 is simple:
help as many people as possible become stronger, healthier, and more confident — for life.

💡 Fitness Lesson of the Day: Caloric Deficit vs. Caloric Surplus

When it comes to weight management, it all comes down to one simple principle: Calories In vs. Calories Out.

📉 Caloric Deficit (Weight Loss)

You burn more calories than you consume.
Example: Eat 2000 calories, burn 2500 → 500 calorie deficit.
Your body taps into stored energy (fat, muscle, or both) to make up the difference.
Over time, this leads to fat loss (if managed properly with enough protein and resistance training, muscle loss can be minimized).

📈 Caloric Surplus (Weight Gain)

You consume more calories than you burn.
Example: Eat 3000 calories, burn 2500 → 500 calorie surplus.
The extra calories are stored by the body as fat, muscle, or both.
With the right strength training and nutrition, a surplus supports muscle growth (bulking).
