Next Saturday - the Jack Fitzgerald races !

These are at Tilgate Park, Crawley, on Saturday, 13 June, on a road circuit over distances of about 3 miles and about 6 miles. Organised by the Veterans AC but open to all age groups. Races start at 1 pm, just turn up at Tilgate Forest Golf Centre and enter on the day.

Fantastic performances for England's race walkers in Spain - England Athletics The England team race walking athletes performed fantastically in incredibly hot conditions in Madrid and learnt a lot from the experience.

One month till the UKA Championships !

The UK Athletics Championships take place on the weekend of 20-21 June, at the Alexander Stadium, Birmingham. More details at https://www.britishathletics.org.uk/events-and-tickets/novuna-uk-athletics-champs-2026/.

A 5000m walk race is provisionally timetabled for the Saturday. There are no entry standards for the walks - as usual participation in the championships is by invitation only, and the publicised list of invited athletes in the walk can be found at https://www.britishathletics.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/UK-Champs-Invited-Athletes-20260522.pdf.

If you have received an invitation, you have until Sunday 7 June to accept it. If you haven’t had an invitation but your name is on the list of invited athletes, you can email [email protected] and ask what's happened. If you're not on the list then, further athletes might find themselves invited closer to the date based on the Power of 10 ranking lists - otherwise, tough.
