🏆 What a week on the mats! 🏆

We held our annual short mat Australian Pairs tournament this past week and it delivered exactly what we love most: high-stakes competition and fantastic social vibes.

A massive congratulations to this year's champions:

We held a raffle for our local bowlers to thank them for their support during the winter. We needed to find over 700 locals to play our guest sides in a six week period from the beginning of March and you all made it happen. Pictured is our winner, Liz Lock from Paignton Bowls Club who won a fire and ice experience followed by a meal in our aztec bistro for two people.

🏆 Spring Short Mat Festival Champions! 🏆

We had a fantastic time at our recent Spring Short Mat Festival, and the competition was fierce! Huge congratulations to our winners who truly brought their A-game to the mats:

🥇 Triples Winners: Andrew Shorney, Lorraine Shorney, and Martin Grange
🥇 Pairs Winners: Richard and Heidi Kerr
🥇 Singles Winner: Andrew Shorney (A double win! 👏)

🐣 What a finish to our Easter Pairs competition! 🐣

24 pairs took part in our long mat Easter Pairs competition and it was a very closely run contest. No team went undefeated; 2 teams finished with nine points and 6 teams finished on ten points so it all came down to shot difference.

A huge well done to Edward and Craig for clinching the title in such a competitive field and a massive thank you to everyone who took part and made the day a success.

This past weekend we welcomed bowlers from Plymouth and Cardiff to our disabled bowlers weekend! 🌴

A big thank you goes to Barry and Graham for all the hard work they do to ensure this weekend goes ahead.

A huge well done to our winner, Billy Treeby from Plymouth! 🏆

We'd like to congratulate our Bowls Co-ordinator, Sarah Vinnicombe, on reaching the EIBA National Finals in the Ladies 4s along with her teammates Sue Bywaters, Charlotte Aspinall and Barbara Bellamy. They will be competing in Nottingham from the 30th March. It’s a fantastic achievement and I’m sure you will join us in wishing Sarah the best of luck!
