JOKER jigs and lures

My latest Youtube upload is up.

This is part 1 in a short series of videos, from another solo boat fishing trip, that I did a few weeks ago.

I provide a bit more info and some tips on how I fish when finding myself jigging in a wind against, or across the tide, kind of situation.

This is quite typical for conditions here in the U.K. so it's important to adapt to suit what you find..

The conditions get worse through the day and you can see more of that and how techniques need to adapt a bit more in part 2, next week.

I still have some availablity for charters for the rest of 2026, there's some great bass fishing right now and they love the jigs!

It's great to send my jigs to new customers, especially when they enquire from overseas.

Customers always take a bit of a risk when buying anything from someone new, especially as there are some pretty slimey characters out there these days, so it's a real buzz to provide an honest service, great gear and then receive such excellent feed back from the happy clients!

This is Antoine who fishes over on the otherside of the Channel, he ordered from me in late August and here's what he said:

Had some really nice bass coming to the boat on the JOKER jigs over the last few days, especially considering the really poor tides.
Also great to see a few newbies put my tuition and help to good use with some excellent results.

Plenty of quality fish coming onboard Silver Halo again with some nice bass up to 7lb 8oz on the jigs.
As you'd expect it's the JOKER gear doing the majority of good work and the 150g Blood Head Orca and 150g Purple Haze Mayhem jigs got the most time in the water so it was those getting the results!

Ive been a bit quiet with Silver Halo Charters fishing reports of late.
We had a week of wind recently and then I've had a couple of days of commercial chartering, tracking drogues around Torbay for Partec who were undertaking current surveys. Then today I attended a funeral of an eldely friend down in Cornwall 🥲
That said, I've got out a few times and we've had some pretty good fishing considering the tiny neap tides. It's all been about the JOKER jigs and lures Slammer, Mayhem, Imp and Orca
JIGS and they've certainly come out on top over the lures.
We've also seen a couple of big Porbeagle sharks that have snapped up a few of my anglers fish! These beasts looked like over 200lbs in weight, proper lumps.
We've also had a lot more tuna action in the area, although I'm not targeting them this season.
