Juri had a cracking fishing trip recently!

Not the easiest of days fishing today with a fair breeze and swell but my clients kept at it and did well overall.

Best pollack went to Paul Evans at 14lb 8oz. We also had a couple of codling in the mix.

The new JOKER jigs and lures ORCA jig got wet today and did really well! 💚

Looks like a windy spell now for the next week, so got some time to report on recent trips out with Silver Halo Charters out of Torquay.

The smaller tides several days ago proved hard work with very few fish gathered on the wrecks and just little windows of activity from them, but the last few days have seen some nice improvements with the larger tides and stronger currents.

Plenty of sealife and dolphins about and on one occasion we had a small porbeagle shark attack one of my clients pollack before it reached the boat!

A few bass starting to show again and some nices ones caught up to 6lb, po***ck to 13lb plus a few small codling have been caught on a mix of jigs and lures.

Plenty of new clients giving boat fishing a go for the first time and also some experienced anglers trying out the slow pitch jigs for the first time.

The JOKER jigs and lures always seem to come out on top. With the soft lures the Apex Minnow's Cherry Gel colour did really well, with it's profile and smaller size is always a good match for the most common bait fish here.
Then when jigs have been used it was the Slammer, Cobra and Mayhem which all got good results.
