Here we go again!
1st Event of the Devon PGA Alliance and as Captain.
We played at Oakhampton and played pretty solid apart from two holes really.
Happy to start strong again finishing 2nd 🥈 and excited to see how the seasons pans out this year.
Next event is at Bude GC but I can’t go so it will be Thurlstone GC two weeks after that.

The final Devon Alliance event and it was at Tiverton GC.
The course was in good condition and the weather was perfect for scoring.
I was feeling very nervous as I do every event something I need to work on, but I got of to a shaky start being +2 thru 4, I then settled myself thru 11 holes having all pars! From the 12th I went bogey, par, bogey and it took me to
4 over and I thought stick in there I really need to go birdie, birdie and I did, I then made a silly bogey on 17th and made a great par on 18th to finish +3(33pts).
It was then waiting to see what Ryan Pope had and others for the different in points.
I was happy again how I grinded out a score to get hopefully some OOM points.
After waiting for all the groups to come in I worked it out I had WON by 2 OOM points and I had WON 🏆.
People might think this write up is a little over the top or sad but to me I am so proud I’ve managed to play half decent over the 2021/2022 season of Alliances but I have managed to WIN the OOM and that’s something I am so proud of as my game hasn’t been amazing but I have stuck in there and grinded out every score time I played, to try to get some points to give myself a chance to win!
I am just pleased I managed to keep it going and I want to thank my coach Alex Clapp too as my swing work with him has made me become a much more consistent player giving me the confidence to grind out scores with a golf swing I can rely on and it’s given me the chance to actually win something 💪.
I’ve enjoyed every event this year and I have to thank my ED alliance team members for being amazing too as they have helped me to even be at some of events, so if it wasn’t for them I’d definitely not have been able to have Won.
I am Devon PGA Alliance Captain next year and looking forward to that and hopefully be able to play some half decent golf like I did for this years Alliance.
Sorry if these have bored people but I’ve done an update every event and now no more updates unless I play other Pro-Ams over the season and I will update you all then.
Awaiting a picture with my trophy!

The 11th Event for the Devon PGA Alliance at a very windy and freezing Exeter GC. The golf course was in immaculate condition and well done to the green staff for presenting such a good course for the day.
I got of to a bad three putt start and though here we go, but didn’t let it effect me and I then had 3 birdies in the next four holes, so that gave me a massive boast going forward.
I then had a blip from few silly errors costing me some bogies but it was so tough out there I knew others would be struggling as well so I just kept battling away.
I got to 17th and said to myself come on let’s finish birdie birdie and that’s what I did which gave me a battled score of 35points (+1) and I was pleased with that as I felt I played very well for the weather conditions on the day.
I managed to grab third place and some Kenyon OOM points to help me have little more breathing space from going into the last event in two weeks.
Still just about leading the Kenyon OOM.
One event remains and that will be at Tiverton GC.

The 10th Event for the Devon PGA Alliance at Teignmouth GC for the Team championships.
I played OK I guess very scrappy first hole but holed a putt of the green for a birdie after playing the hole so badly, I then played tidy from holes 2-5 giving myself very easy birdie chances inside 10ft but didn’t hole any of them.
I then had a foot slip on 9th fatting my driver down the path and could only make a bogey.
Then after that I was so bad had no swing feel at all and hit some terrible shots and then missed the 13th green on the wrong side, par 5 and again made bogey from no where! I then had couple three putts coming in that hurt and ended up finishing with a very scrappy and disappointing 33 points (+3).
So like I say lots of should of’s and could haves but it didn’t happen. I Made the best score I could out of how poorly I was playing.
I managed to grab some Kenyon OOM points but Ryan Pope did too coming ever so close to catching me.
Still just about leading the Kenyon OOM.
Two events remain and the next one is at Exeter GC.

Please check out these guys for there amazing golf trolleys plus other golf equipment.
I have been lucky to have been in contact with Golf Stream UK as I seen there product on channel with them reviewing the trolleys.
Having seen and his trolley from Golf Steam UK I was straight in contact with them and now have one myself.
With that we have now teamed up and I am an ambassador for them with promoting there products.
So here I am promoting there standard Vision electric trolley with 18 hole lithium battery.
I have used it for three rounds now and it’s been absolutely brilliant and does everything your top branded electric trolleys do but people wouldn’t even think to have a look at these guys as it’s not the main name but please have a look as you will not be disappointed.
The company are UK based and any problems with the trolley they pick it up from your house fix it and return it, that’s an amazing service that others don’t.

9th event for the Devon PGA Alliance and it was a two day event at the beautiful Trevose GC.
Day 1 we had a later tee time and it wasn’t to bad until we got hit with horrible heavy rain with 7 holes left to play and not the best preparation as I had no umbrella.
I shot 35 points (+1) and deserved more really as I struggled on the greens but that put me T6 for the day.
Day 2 wind was up a little and felt to be playing harder than day 1.
I hit it pretty good like day 1, but again I counted I must have missed eight putts inside 10ft for birdie only making one of them as I had a bogey free 37 points (-1) that could have been much better but again struggled with the greens and putter.
Felt great thanks to having a great lesson with my coach Alex Clapp before I went down having one swing thought that wasn’t over complicated at all.
Still just leading the Kenyon OOM by 7.5 points to Ryan pope as he got some good points over the two days at Trevose.
We Have four events left and the next one is at Tavistock GC.

8th Event for the Devon PGA Alliance, it was an early start but wow how good was East Devon GC playing. The greens were unbelievable and very scary in places if you was the wrong side of the pins.
I played OK I guess very scrappy in places managing to get it back to level through 16 holes, then a bad club choice on 17th second shot cost me a bogey! And then on 18th hit it to 10ft in two and rolled it up went to tap it in and missed!!! so very frustrating finish but take a T3 the way I played.
Back to the drawing bored with coach Alex Clapp to iron some mistakes out.
Still just about leading the Kenyon OOM.
Next event is a two day event at Trevose GC.
