Some photos from my Kumamoto Aikido trip. Today I was Carl sensei's uke (partner) during his instructors slot at the seminar. Carl showed our style, which is a harder style than most we have seen. I was late arriving this morning, due to a very late night and Carl made me pay for this during the demonstrations, adding in lots of additional Atemi (strikes). People enjoyed the demonstrations but some were worried that he might have been hurting me !!!

Shane and Chris took self defence to Teignmouth School today. 20+ sixth form students took part in an hour's lesson, learning how to deal with common attacks using strikes, throws and locks. Most of the students had no prior martial arts experience but all joined in enthusiastically.
