The nominations sheets are up in the club for the officers for the new season and we are still looking for some key positions to be filled.
If any member feels they have something to offer please speak to a committee member.
We need the following;
Club Secretary; Club Captain (or Captains); Ladies Captain/A team League Captain.
Please remember we need these positions filled for the club to function.

The end of the season is approaching with the club's finals days.

Today saw our annual mixed triples day which turned out to be a good day with some very close matches.
Runners up this year were Thomas, Matt and Jean with a respectable 5 points.
But the trophy goes to Marcel, Christine and Maggie who scored the maximum 6 points.
LWC breweries kindly donated a bottle of proseco and we raised £30 with a spider for our charity The Stroke Torbay which Ray won.

Well done to the MDL "B' team who came runner up and gained promotion to Division 2 last night.

MDL 'A" side have won division 1 with a resounding win against Dawlish Marina 12 - 2 points.

MDL 'A' team played their penultimate game last night against Babbacombe securing promotion back to the Premier league for 2025. A nail biting closely fought game saw them come away with 10 points. The last game on Thursday is against Dawlish Marina and they will go out all guns blazing to secure a win to go up as Division 1 champions.
Come on Gerry's army!😀😀

Minor finals day today at Babbacombe for Section 6.
Congratulations to Jean Welch and Jane Perrett becoming over 55s pairs against a Kings pair.
They will now progress to the county quarter final as the section 6 winners and play the winners of section 4.
Unfortunately Jane with Maggie Boyle couldn't complete the double when they lost the over 70s pairs by 1 shot on the last end. Congratulations to Marilyn Symons and Mary Jenkins from Torbay Country Club.
Great results for Torquay though. So.proud of these girls!!

Today was the last 8 play offs in the major fours played at Tiverton West End.
Zoe, Jane, Sue & Maggie took on a team from United Services and after a great team game secured their place in the semi finals against a team from Plymstock.
Despite trying their best they lost by 6 shots which wasn't so bad as a 5 was dropped on the 12 end.
2 games are always hard and they tried their best. Well done!!
