A much improved performance from the youthful Colts team produced an enthralling contest at Eastleigh, eventually going down 0-12 in what Director of Youth Rugby Louis Brencher described as "a very very close game."
"It was definitely a big improvement from last weekend and the discipline we should was very good indeed so plenty to be encouraged about."
Player of the match was awarded to Aaron Hay-Ibanez for his hard work around the park.
The Colts travel to Lytchett Minster next week.

Tottonians 3rd XV fell just short of recording victory against higher league opponents Chineham, going down 33-35 in an entertaining clash on the second pitch at Water Lane this afternoon.
Tries from Chris Fox, Ethan Sakala, Tyler Haward, Seb Davis-Smith and Will Machin plus four conversion, three from Seb and one from Rich Colmer almost took the spoils in a game of four quarters that presented some 25 players with a run out.

Pre-match lunches are back for 2026/27 and we are going early with our brand new club caterers for the pre-season friendly double header against Longlevens.
Sit down is 12.30pm for the 2pm kick-off (for the 2nd XV) and 4pm kick-off (for the 1st XV).

Tottonians Colts got their season started with a competitive clash against Wimborne and performed admirably in being defeated by the Dorset side 35-5 - George Havelock scoring Totts' try.

𝐒𝐀𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐃𝐀𝐘 𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐔𝐋𝐓𝐒 𝐑𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐃-𝐔𝐏
Tottonians kicked off 2026/27 with a pre-season double-header at Oxford Quins on Saturday - returning home with a win and a defeat, but, more importantly, minutes in the legs and plenty of encouragement.
The 1st XV result was a 36-28 defeat but they held the Regional 1 Midlands outfit for 70 minutes before conceding twice late on. A double for player of the match debutant Balazs Magda led the way as the visitors were 28-17 ahead coming into the final quarter. Dylan Kirk and Harry Dolbear also posted scores.
The 2nd XV did return a victory beating Quins' 2nd string that play in Counties 1 Southern North. A brace for another debutant Cameron Findlay plus three conversions and a penalty guided the side to a comfortable win with player of the match Mason Beech, Seb Davis-Smith, Ryan Martin and Alex Robinson also crossing for tries.
We thank Oxford Harlequins for their excellent hospitality and wish them all the very best for the season ahead.
