Devin Braune has won his third consecutive World eX title – but not quite as expected.

Due to the strong slipstream effect at Daytona, Braune’s rivals hoped they had a real chance of posing a threat to the defending champion in the Super Final. But even before the starting lights turned from red to green, the championship was practically decided when six (!) of the 16 drivers jumped the start – including the champion’s three closest rivals: Jarno Wiese, Julius Martin and Chris Overend.

Wiese had to settle for second in the championship after finishing 7th at Daytona. Second place in the Super Final went to Steffen Walter, who made a huge leap forward in the championship from sixth to third place beating former Champion Julius Martin by a single point.

Another great event for World eX with a thrilling photo finish in the Sprint, the first victory of the season for Jarno Wiese, the 50th win for our World Champion Devin Braune, the largest grid of the year with 17 cars and so much on-track action.

As the regular season has come to an end everything is set for the Super Final at Daytona on November 4.

The impressive winning streak of Devin Braune has come to an end!

After 21 consecutive wins in the RCCO World eX Championship the World Champion had to settle to second behind Steffen Walter in the Sprint at Interlagos.

He was back in P1 in the feature Race – how many will he be able to win in a row this time?
