Happy Bank Holiday! Myself, Dave, Neil, Jonathan, Alex, Jamie, Dan and Wayne are taking part in Prostate Cancer UK’s Big Golf Race on 20th June at South Kyme Golf Course.
We’re going to be completing four rounds of golf in one day, 72 holes.

Bummer! Starting 3rd on the grid, 1st in class, he only went and jumped the start! There wasn’t much in it in all honesty. Dave finished 5th on the circuit, 3rd in his class. But with a 10 second penalty, he was bumped down to 4th in class and 9th overall.
We go again tomorrow!!

Just Qualified P1 in class!! 3rd overall. We start Race 1 on the front row of the grid... New rubber time.

Well as far as testing goes, today has been a good day. The bike has run sweet all day, Dave’s lap times were steadily coming down, (There’s some seriously quick boys here).
All was going well until the last session of the day. Dave pushed a touch too hard into Bobbies, the last chicane before the start finish straight, and lost the front, luckily falling off at the slowest part of a very fast circuit.
Fortunately Dave is fine, as is the bike but for some minor damage (thanks to crash bobbins).
The bike suffered a smashed clock bracket which we’ve managed to repair, smashed footrest, which we’ve replaced, damaged seat section, bodge taped, and a few bits scratched which are now all fine.
On the beers now, ready for 0930 warm up!!

Evening Troops!!
We’re at Castle Combe this weekend. Arrived earlier this evening, all set up, done a little track walk familiarisation. Chewing the cud now with a few beverages ready for a day of testing tomorrow.
We’ve got a caravan now, so no more sleeping in cars, absolute LUXURY!!

2 weeks today we’ll be setting up at Castle Combe! 🏍

First race of the day just finished.
A blistering start took Dave from 9th to 5th but a near highside on the exit of Old Hairpin lost Dave a few positions.

In a multi class race, Dave finished 5th in class, 8th overall, but was the second fastest in his class on the circuit.

The conditions were very iffy, rain all morning, a semi drying track with rain forecast. The rain never came, so we’ve removed the now trashed wets and gone for dry tyres for race two. Fingers crossed the rain stays away!

Qualified P4 this morning,
Finished P4 in the race.

Blowing the cobwebs away, not raced in 2 years, it shows 😩.

I caught 3rd but was 1 lap too late before the race ended, hopefully give it another go tomo.

More friends and fam tomo too, which helps give support and confidence.
