For Weird & Wonderful Wednesday today we have a Hairy Spiny Doris (Acanthodoris Pilosa). This one was about 5cm long and was slowly making its way across the reef on a dive on the Manacles.

Who said UK diving was boring ? Look at all those colours from the red and white dead mens fingers, the pink jewel anemones, the yellow boring sponge and the brown kelp.

We found one !!! Yes ! a rainbow sea slug (nudibranch) Babakina anadoni. Typically found in warmer waters off Spain, Portugal and France this one was seen on Penwin Reef on the Manacles diving with Porthkerris divers. Not the best shot as the seaweed kept getting in the way and we had literally just put the SMB up to end our dive !

Club social night tomorrow night at the Bull In Towcester from 7:30 onwards. This is our gas management talk at the start of the month.

Venture scout try dives last Monday plus club member swimming and a dry suit try-on ! No club meeting this Monday due to Bank Holiday.
