A different kind of teamwork this week at Silverstone Sports Engineering Hub.

Some of our team swapped wind tunnels and data screens for fresh air and open roads, heading out together for a group bike ride around the local countryside to enjoy the kind of environment we’re often working to optimise for.

And for those looking to take things a step further, our Amateur Night sessions give cyclists the chance to step into our sports performance wind tunnel and use the same tools as elite athletes to better understand and improve their performance.

So… how does remote testing work without an athlete on-site?

That’s where our mannequin and athlete replica options come in.

At Silverstone Sports Engineering Hub, you can:
– Use in-house mannequins for TT, road, or sprint positions
– Book a rider for setups like the pedalling efficiency rig
– Or go a step further with a fully accurate 3D-printed athlete replica

That last option means you can replicate your athlete’s exact position and run repeat tests whenever you need, without coordinating travel every time.

It keeps testing consistent, flexible, and a lot easier to build into your development cycle.
