Finally We Are Happy With The Car, Pete’s Doing A Few Touches After Some Issues Occurred In Qualifying.

A Good Start The Our Morning, Finally Got The Car Running Perfect (Touch Wood). Now Time To Properly Build Up From It.

Sadly A Poor Start In Race 1 Not Finding 4th Gear Made A Too Big Of A Gap To Catch Up.

Well, that was unpredictable! A mid-pack spin on the first lap shook up the order and created several small, tight groupings throughout the order. Initially Nick Crispin and Ethan Sparrow were running away with it until Seb Jones-White and Andrew Bull worked together to catch up. The 4 stayed together, frequently swapping places, with Seb looking like he'd done enough for the win on the final lap... until he agonisingly ran out of fuel (weight saving being a great idea right up until it isn't...) and Ethan Sparrow and Nick Crispin had a trivial-seeming bump which left Nick heading for a gravel trap he wouldn't leave. This left Ethan picking up his first ever race win with Bull in second and Pete Sparrow, returning to the championship, completing the podium. The thought of having to compete against a flock of Sparrows on a regular basis is probably worrying some people!

Qualifying 1 Complete, Starting P10. Few Adjustments Done Over Lunch And Now Ready To Roll Later On.

Oof! Just ONE THOUSANDTH of a second between Ethan Sparrow and Seb Jones-White, and for most of that session it looked like those were our top 2 until wily Nick Crispin dropped back to let the pack through and used the tow to put in an epic last lap four tenths faster. This weekend will be all about slipstreaning so expect 2CVs hunting in packs and some very, very close racing!
