🏡Winter maintenance is underway at Tranent Bowling Club! 🏡

With the green now closed until April, our greenkeeping partners STS, have officially started the winter maintenance programme, helping to keep our green in top condition and ready for another fantastic season next year.

A huge thank you to everyone involved in looking after the green throughout the year, the standard of surface is the best it has been for years!

The work might be quieter over winter, but it’s just as important! 👏

Here’s to giving the green the TLC it deserves over the coming months ☺️

🏆 Closing of the Green 2026 - Jumble Pairs 🏆

Stephen Whitson and Colin Blyth win our end of season pairs after defeating Fran Gilhooly & Davie Sands in the final!

Willie Bloomer & Davie Whitson along with Mark Roberston & Stevie White made up the last 4 following our first attempt at a 'ladder' style competition

A massive thanks to all who attended and provided an item or 2 for the buffet

Also thanks to Bowls Scotland for the gift they provided in our centenary year

As always the season and club don't run itself so a huge thanks go to my committee, greenkeepers, sponsors, volunteers and anyone else that contributed to the 2026 Tranent BC outdoor season

We have Chris Karpacz entertaining us tonight to keep the night going 💃🏽
