For the first Ladies game of the season I must commend my team, for their attitude and hunger from the start.
Early season fixtures have been a mixed bag for us recently and are never easy for all teams.

EL got off to great start carding 3 shots on both Beth's and Janet's rink on the opening end while Emma dropped a single.

After 4 completed ends over the carpet, it was EL who enjoyed the early spoils 17-2, and leading on all three rinks, Beth 8-0, Emma 3-1 and Janet 6-1.

Over the next 4 ends, Midlothian were starting to eat into the EL lead and reduced the deficit to 8 shots. On the completion of 8 ends EL had managed to stem the tide to lead 23-14, Beth 12-4, Emma now narrowly behind 3-6 and Janet 8-4.

The next 4 ends, EL extended their advantage to 33-18, Beth 15-6, Emma back in front 7-6 and Janet 11-6.

The home team continued to ask their opponents questions and managed the game well over the closing 5 ends of the fixture to run out deserved winners and get their league campaign off to an impressive start.

Both teams contributed to a great game with some outstanding bowls being played on all three rinks
👏👍

Next up for East Lothian is an away League fixture next Saturday at Headwell.
