We caught up with Spuddy this week to hear his thoughts ahead of the upcoming season:

🗣️ “Another season is nearly underway, and being Club Captain is always a huge honour.

As far as the coming season goes, I’m really looking forward to the challenge again. Coming off the back of a good season last year, it will be interesting to see just how far we can push ourselves this year.

It’s nice to see one or two new faces within the team this season, which will hopefully give us even more strength in depth. Other than that, we’re still the same group of boys who have been together for the past couple of seasons.

Pre-season hasn’t been great in terms of game time due to games being cancelled, but we’ve still pushed ourselves all summer in training.

So yeah, it’s exciting to see what’s in store for us this season as a collective, and I’m really looking forward to what’s to come.”

With 136 games under his belt and 45 tries to his name, we’re looking forward to seeing what little old Spud can produce this season, leading the team from the front! 💪

Thatchers Rascal (historically known as Thatchers Old Rascal) is a traditional, full-bodied amber apple cider crafted by Thatchers Cider in Somerset, England. The name comes from local folklore about a wily fox that would sneak into the cider mills at night to drink.

Style: Medium to medium-dry
Appearance: Clear, deep golden / amber color
