🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ MONKTON MILERS WEEKLY ROUNDUP 💙

Another busy week for the Monkton Milers, and once again our runners have been popping up all over the place! 🌍👏🏼

We’ve had plenty of 5Ks ticked off throughout the week, with lots of Milers getting out there and putting the miles in. Every mile counts! 💪🏼

🇮🇹 We even had a bit of international Miler action this week, with the boss and her husband heading to beautiful Lucca, Italy, and of course squeezing in a parkrun while they were there! Because apparently holidays still require running shoes… 😂🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

☘️ Joanne and Vicky travelled to Belfast to take on the Northern Ireland Half Marathon — a fantastic achievement and another 13.1 miles in the bag! 🏅👏🏼

🌊 Meanwhile, some of the team headed over to Millport to tackle the 10 Miler, adding another brilliant event to this week’s tally! 💪🏼

From local 5Ks to Millport, Belfast and even Lucca, the Monkton Milers have certainly been getting about this week! 😂🌍

A huge well done to everyone who ran, walked, raced, trained or simply got themselves out the door. 💙

Another week, another load of miles — well done, Milers! 👏🏼🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

Anyone fancy a road trip… sMilers on tour?

13/09/2026

This week the smilers took back to the scenes of the gorgeous Troon beach promenade to begin our series of (winter 😮) runs, not that any of us are looking forward to looking out the head torches 🔦 🫠

On Monday the 3,4 and 5 milers took on the golf course routes ⛳️ with Wednesday bringing the trio of fun 🏃🏼‍♀️🏃🏼‍♂️🏃 on Friday some of the team organised a social 20k run in the sun with the usual milers smiles and encouragement keeping everyone going along the way (and jelly babies of course).

Milers took across the country on Saturday to parkruns all over Scotland but how beautiful was the view at our home Troon parkrun🌈

As usual Sunday social runs were out in force with a range of distances being ran and we heard the sunshine even came out for the occasion ☀️☀️ and no Sunday social would be complete without ending with coffee and a sweet treat 🍦☕️

We say good luck to oor Richard who is taking on the Great north Run today, with the red arrows kicking them off in style 🥇✈️

And a warm welcome back to our leaders Gary and Sharon 🏃🏼‍♀️🏃🏼‍♂️
