A huge moment tomorrow as Ali Rogers reaches 50 caps for Marr RFC. Since joining us in 2022, Ali instantly became a fan favourite, bringing energy, personality and a relentless work ethic to the club.

He’s overcome a major injury along the way and has grown into a true leader of men, on and off the field. His strength, resilience and presence at prop inspire everyone around him.

It was a tough day at the office for the 1st XV last weekend as they ran Stirling County close. Scores from Flynn Jackson (sponsored by Alan Shedden Joinery), Logan Hendrie (sponsored by Porsche Centre Glasgow) and Jack Scott (sponsored by Gordon Craig).

Next week the lads are off to Stoneyhill to face Musselburgh in what’s sure to be an enthralling match.

The Marrlequins played against a mixed 1XV/2XV side up at Greenock on Sunday with just 14 players and no bench it was a proper test. The women were brilliant in the first half, putting together some of their best attack and defensive shape yet. Holding their own against National League level players for 80 minutes gave plenty to take pride in, along with some clear focus areas before next week, an away trip to Cartha 2nd XV in the league opener.
