⚽️ Match Report 📝
Troon Dundonald 1-0 Troon Town
“Death, taxes & Kirky to score…”
A hard-fought battle against Troon Town on Saturday saw us progress to the second round of the Jimmy Locke Trophy.
The Captain gave us an early lead after a Dylan Connelly corner caused a scramble in the box. Ross McCormack managed to play the ball across goal, allowing Kirky to score.
The remainder of the half was an evenly contested affair, with few clear-cut chances for either side and both defences putting in a solid performance.
HT: Troon Dundonald 1-0 Troon Town
We dug deep in the second half to protect our lead, with neither side creating much in front of goal.
Late in the game, Troon Town were awarded a penalty following a handball. However, shot-stopper Kevin Ingram made a crucial save to preserve our lead, with the final whistle sounding shortly after to secure our place in the next round!
All the best to Troon Town for the remainder of their season.
We will face Mauchline AFC (A) in the second round.
