🚩Practice jumping arena eventing fences in our main outdoor arena.
🚩The sessions will focus on improving your ability to ride the more technical aspects of cross country riding and will be fantastic for a mid season tune up.
🚩Expect a variety of fences, including corners, off set rails and angled rails.
🚩Session last 1 hour.
🚩Groups of 4.
🚩£30 per horse, per session.
😊 A great opportunity to build confidence in horses, ponies and riders. Come and get some mid season practice. Even if you are not planning on competing, come and have some fun!

😢 We have made the very difficult decision to cancel our August BE event. The weather is against us and with no rain on the horizon we feel this was in everyone’s best interest.
☺️ If you had kindly offered to volunteer we will be in touch in the next day or so but we just wanted to let everyone know as soon as possible.
For those of you that had entered thank you, we will be in touch and for those of you thinking about entering we will be running an Arena Eventing competition from 70cm up to 1.10m which will be on a surface. The schedule will be available soon.

West Wilts (2) 18-19 August cancelled

It is with great regret that, following discussions with British Eventing, West Wilts have made the difficult decision to cancel their August event.

They are currently experiencing unprecedented drought conditions, with no significant rainfall over the past six weeks and, according to the national forecast, no meaningful rainfall expected for at least the next two weeks.

The welfare of horses, riders, and the long-term condition of the ground must remain the highest priority. Unfortunately, despite every effort and careful consideration, the current conditions do not allow the organisers to provide the safe and consistent going that competitors rightly expect.

“We fully intend to run our September event and will continue to monitor conditions closely over the coming weeks,” said Pete Collins, Organiser of West Wilts. “We are committed to taking all necessary steps to ensure the ground conditions are suitable and safe for competition. As part of this, we plan to aerate the ground ahead of the September event to improve the going and encourage any available moisture to pe*****te the soil. Should we continue to experience dry conditions, we may have to reseed the affected areas after the event to aid recovery and protect the long-term quality of the course.

“We appreciate that this news will be disappointing for everyone who was planning to support the August event, and we sincerely thank all our competitors, officials, volunteers, sponsors, and supporters for their understanding and continued support. We will be running an arena eventing combined training on Sunday 16th August and Tuesday 18th August, which both phases will take place on our surfaces.

“We look forward to welcoming you back in September under more favourable conditions.”
