Well… that was a summer. 🎣

I’ve been a bit quiet on here, mainly because I’ve been rather busy actually fishing. 😆

It’s been a cracking season.

I’ve had the pleasure of taking people out from all over the UK and all over the world, showing them a little corner of Cornwall and, hopefully, why I love fishing here so much.

Some had fished for years.

Some had never held a rod before.

We’ve caught plenty, lost a few good ones, walked A LOT of Cornish coastline and had a fair few laughs along the way.

But probably the best bit has been introducing so many new people to sea fishing.

New anglers made. New friends made. And plenty of super memories along the way.

Cornwall has been looking pretty special too. 🌊☀️

So a massive thank you to everyone who’s booked a trip, come back for another one, recommended me to somebody or simply followed what I’ve been up to.

I genuinely appreciate it.

Most of the time you’ll find me helping families discover sea fishing from the beaches, rocks and harbours of Cornwall. 🎣

This lovely family first joined me for a shore fishing session, but with a brand new addition to the clan 👶, scrambling over rocks didn’t seem quite as appealing!

So this time we did things a little differently, teaming up with the brilliant Falmouth Bay Tailored Tours for a private trip on the water.

It turned out to be the perfect way to spend the day. Hidden coves, calm water, plenty of fish, happy smiles and a baby who seemed to enjoy being on the water just as much as everyone else. 🌊

One of the best things about what I do is seeing people come back. Watching families grow, then helping create a new set of memories together, is a real privilege. 🙏

A huge thank you to the family for another fantastic day, and to Giles for being the perfect skipper as always. 🫡

Cornwall is pretty special from the shore…

…but every now and then it’s worth seeing it from the sea.

Absolutely love welcoming back familiar faces year after year. 🤝🎣

Oz said he wanted to catch something that’d properly put a bend in the rod this trip…

He did just that. 😅

Proper dinosaur of the rocks.
Those teeth though 👀🦷

It’s never just about the catch though.
It’s the laughs between casts. The fresh sea air. The conversations. Putting the world to rights.

The moments you remember driving home. 🤘

February fishing can be a challenge. Colder waters, unpredictable weather, and fewer fair-weather days on the water.

But here in Cornwall, we’re a little bit lucky. Mackerel can be found all year round, which is a real silver lining when conditions are tough. 🌊

A reminder that even in the quieter months, there’s still something special waiting beneath the surface. 🐟

Flounder fishing’s been spot on in the creeks and rivers lately! ☀️❄️

But yesterday was extra special, a super pod of 12 porpoises cruised through the shallow water right in front of me, smashing fish! 🐟

Absolutely incredible to witness, it genuinely made my day. 🩶🐬
