My time at HALO Gym Tunbridge Wells has come to an end.

Next week is my last full week before I go on to take on a new challenge.

Reflecting on the last 6.5 years, it’s been an epic journey.

And I can speak highly enough of the gym itself, the members, staff and coaches.

It’s been an environment that has challenged me but allowed me to grow as a coach and individual.

From starting the run club, to coaching kettlebell sessions, getting time on the radio and running multiple seminars.

I came in as a single man in a flat share and leave with a partner (who I met in Halo), a son, a dog and a mortgage 😂

But also having met some incredible humans and had some great experiences along the way.

Looking forward to the next chapter but also very grateful that Halo has been a foundation of the last one.

Still working in the fitness industry, still going to be coaching.

More to come…..

The thing that most busy people struggle with.

Is the idea that chasing more is going to get you to where you want.

That more stress/ responsibility/ action will be the game changer.

And sometimes it is.

But often it’s the opposite that unlocks the next level.

Learning when and how to rest and recover that is the thing that pushes the needle.

So that the quality of your output is higher.

And you expand your capacity to do more.

Rather than try to continually fill an already spilling cup.

More is not always better.

The final podcast about our journey in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

This one covers how we adapted to life after 3 months in hospital.

A big reason I did this series was because I think often during and after these experiences we can feel quite isolated.

I know I did.

I also think you don’t need to have gone through the NICU journey to feel that isolation especially when you have sacrificed your own time, health and space for your job, family and other commitments.

But it’s important to know you aren’t alone and there are others in the same boat.

And that actually there is a world where you can fulfil your commitments at work and as dad/ partner without having to sacrifice all your time, space and enjoyment.
