What a fantastic evening at St John’s Tennis Club last night, bringing together the players who represented the club in league tennis over the winter.

The event was a chance to celebrate the Ladies 1 team winning both the Winter Kent League and the Winter Maidstone League. A brilliant achievement and a testament to the commitment, teamwork and talent across the squad.

The evening included a fun tournament, followed by a meal and drinks, giving everyone the opportunity to celebrate together.

The tournament was won by Wendy, with Abbie finishing second and Karen third.

A huge thank you to Denise for organising the league matches throughout the season, and to Louise for planning and delivering such a successful evening. Thanks also to Mark for keeping the tournament running smoothly with the scoring, and to everyone who helped behind the bar, with the set up and the clear up. Your support helped make the evening such a success.

Well done to all our league players on a fantastic winter season.

What a night we had on Saturday at St John’s.

Huge thanks to Amanda for hosting Disco Bingo and bringing so much energy to the room. It was a brilliant evening full of fun, laughter, singing, and plenty of dancing.

A big thank you to our volunteer team who decorated the clubhouse, worked the bar, and helped everything run so smoothly. Special mention to Julie and Nick for cooking the most delicious chilli and lentil dahl for 52 guests, and to Ian and Pam for the brownies and carrot cake that went down a treat.

It was fantastic to see so many people come along and try something new. A really high-energy, successful night for the club, and we’re grateful to everyone who supported it and joined in.

Our next evening social is the quiz on Friday 20th March. Have you booked your table yet?

What a turnout for the festive mix-in yesterday!
Over 30 players on court and even more joining us after for refreshments. It was great to see so many faces and such a brilliant atmosphere.

A big thank you to everyone who helped organise the session and looked after the food and drinks. Blue skies, winter tennis, good company, steaming mulled wine and mince pies… hard to beat.

Here’s what a few members had to say:

“Great mix-in, mulled wine, mince pies and organisation, well done everyone. What a super tennis club we have”
“Lovely to see so many people this afternoon”
“So much fun, thanks! Thank you to all those who organised. Lovely mince pies and mulled wine.”

What a night. Our fourth Christmas celebration brought plenty of sparkle, great food and a lot of fun.

The High Rocks team served a fantastic dinner, and Funk Audacity & Soul Band were absolutely brilliant, with everyone on the dance floor from the very first song.

The surprise Casino Royale reveal went down a treat. Stuart and the croupiers from Class Casino Nights were brilliant, and our chip champion took home a bottle of bubbly.

We also had a luxury tombola put together by our social team, Rachel, Julie, Louise and Leanne, thank you for putting in so much hard work.

Higher or Lower made its return with Colin and Karen stepping in as our Dolly Dealers, and Ian Jackson amazed guests all night with close-up magic and balloon creations.

We rounded things off back on the dance floor with Funk Audacity & Soul Band and kept the party going.

Thank you to everyone who came along, helped behind the scenes, and made it such a memorable night.
