Turriff United are delighted to announce the signing of experienced defender Mark Souter, who joins the club following his recent departure from Cove Rangers.
The 32-year-old brings a wealth of Highland League experience to The Haughs, having played over 350 games in the Highland League before stepping up two divisions to play League 1 football with Cove Rangers.
A naturally composed centre back, Mark made his departure from Cove earlier this month after the two parties mutually agreed to end his spell with the club due to increased work commitments.
His arrival adds significant experience to the Turriff United squad, with Souter having spent well over a decade playing senior football and competing regularly in the Highland League.
Speaking about the move, Souter said:
"I'm really looking forward to getting started at Turriff.
I've played against the club plenty of times over the years and know what a good setup it is.
I'm looking forward to getting involved, helping the team and enjoying my time at Turriff Utd”.
Turriff United manager Greg Moir added:
"Mark is a player we've obviously known for a long time and his experience speaks for itself.
He's played a huge number of games at this level, knows the league inside out and brings a lot of experience into the dressing room.
We're delighted to have him with us and I'm looking forward to working with him again."
Everyone at Turriff United welcomes Mark to the club and wishes him every success at The Haughs.
Welcome to Turriff, Mark! 🔴🔵
