Delgatie Castle Trout Fishery

looks like the loch fished well yesterday small black WSW's thanks to the boys for locking up.....Good honest Lad always pays whether I'm there or not.......

Please be aware that as of the 1st of Nov the fishery will not be open until 09:00, clocks go back......

okay good people looks like I should be making my great escape from ARI during the next few days.......yeah.....however the fishery will be closed on Monday but open the rest of the week.....be in contact over the next few days V

Well as you can see by the lack of posts I have not been in attendance and Geoff with Roger have been holding the fort. Due to medical appointment the fishery will be closed on Wednesday.

Thunder and lightning due today, the fishery make close early if lightning is persistant .....graphite rod , water and electricity...not a good mixture

Sundays fishing competition was a great success, for those that made it, unfortunately a few last minute drop outs, however good numbers caught. First John Drummond with 33 to the net , Second Ron Ewen with 30 , and third Neil Scowen 23 to the net. Heaviest fish going to Stevan Leel which won him a bottle of Whiskey supplied by Neil Scowen........in all over 120 fish caught. Many thanks to Roger and Ryan Dawson for w**ding over the last week, whilst there was some floating w**d , after the cut, obviously very fishable. During the last week the loch has fished well, even had two absolute beginners caught on their first attempt.........

Still require entrees for the comp on Sun.... if insuffuceint entrees by Friday comp will be cancelled....however good fishing can be had at the weekend......

Due to logging works at Delgatie , please take care along the track and be patient with works. The fishery will not be open until 09:00 to allow the guys time to set up.

Sunday 21st of August , Competition ...3 hours from the boats , 3 hours from the bank changing over after Lunch.....Competitors must be willing to share a boat. Limit places however must have 16 entrants minimum to stage the event. Cash prizes for 1st and 2nd places, fishing voucher for 3rd place, and for first fish caught. Entry £20.
