Clwb Hoci Dysynni Hockey Club

The club celebrated it's new pitch on Saturday 27th June, with an open event featuring a junior hockey session, with drills and skills, and then a mixed social session where many of the club's past Welsh players returned to play on the Tywyn pitch once more. Thanks for Tywyn Town Council for attending, previous players, and thanks to The Coop for providing much needed bottles of water on such a a hot day! Hoci Cymru also supported providing some fun equipment for the day.

Hoci Cymru

As the new all weather multi-sport surface was officially opened on 1 June, we would like to extend our thanks to everyone involved in making it happen. To be clear, it was the Hockey club that acted as the initial driving force in engaging with Byw’n Iach, Gwynedd Council, Hoci Cymru to build a multi stakeholder approach in raising the funds and building a strategy to take it forward for the whole community. On the fundraising side we had a very generous contribution from Tywyn Town Council of £15000 and all of that money went towards the project and was sent to Gwynedd CC who ultimately own and manage the site on behalf of the community. All the funds received by the club have been fully documented and this, with a letter of thanks, was forwarded to Tywyn Council.
Yes the Hockey club will benefit but also will the whole community for the next 20 years in a truly collaborative endeavour. This shows what can be achieved when we come together in a positive spirit. Rest assured every penny of public money and the many generous donations are being put to good use.

National finals weekend is nearly here!!
Tomorrow our Ladies 2s and Men's teams will be playing in Hoci Cymru 's Challenge Cup finals down in Swansea. The matches will be live on Hoci Cymru's youtube if you can't get down to support 🧡🏆

Dysynni Men took on Gwent 3s in the semi-final of Hoci Cymru 's Challenge back in March. With a strong 6-1 win, they're through to the final of the Cup in May! 💪 🧡
