It’s Day 23 of the Doddie5 Ride USA. 2000 miles cycled and 1200 to go. We are raising funds for the My Name5 Doddie Foundation and the cyclists and the crew are doing an incredible job. We started in San Francisco on May 18th and arrive in New York on June 22nd.
We have crossed California, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri and Illinois. Tomorrow we enter Indiana and have a welcome rest day in Indianapolis before the last 9 day push to New York.
A big shout out to the American public, they have been so friendly and supportive of the ride. From farmers, truck drivers and shop/bar owners they have all been perplexed why a bunch of old people would want to cycle across their country. When we explain that we have all lost friends to MND (ALS in the US) and that we are raising funds to find a cure for MND, they cannot do enough for us.
Just got to keep going and get to New York.
