Our Julie!! 🥹.
This was our look from Saturday at WNBF Edmonton in Canada and our best look of the season so far. A look Julie is incredibly proud of
🥈 2nd in Grand Masters
🏅5th in Masters 35+
I’ll be honest, the Masters result was a little difficult for me to make sense of, particularly with Julie placing behind a competitor she had previously beaten only 30s earlier.
But that’s bodybuilding! You’re judged on the lineup in front of the panel and that can change with a different lineup, and things can look very different from the judges’ table compared with a livestream. I wasn’t there in person either, so I’m conscious that I was only seeing part of the picture.
That being said, I’ll be looking to get more feedback so we can understand what the judges were seeing, and most importantly take the data to improve coming back next time. Because ultimately you can only control what you bring to the stage and not the result.
We had just two weeks between Julie’s last show and this one, and improvements were made. That’s what I’m most pleased about is just how well Julie has conducted herself between shows. Better condition, posing improvements and overall a more polished look.
And we’re not finished yet!
Next up, we head into a different federation where Julie will compete in an Ultra Masters class, putting her alongside women closer to her own age, and I’m really looking forward to seeing some further imrovements 💪
62 years young, continuing to improve, still showing up and still loads of improvements to be made.
